It's ace.
Lovely little surprise.
I adore the rawness of the soundcheck version and i'm so glad it hasn't been stripped away.

If he had released it under his project, people would have an issue with him claiming an Oasis-era demo under a solo moniker. If he uses Oasis, then he's using the Oasis name. So what's the difference between this and if I had a gun, record machine, stop the clocks etc? Maybe it's not good enough. Anyway, I agree that with should be happy that it's out there Because Noel re-recorded all of those songs. In fact, If I Had A Gun was only written in 2008-09, same with Everybody's On The Run (or, at least, that's when they were first played - they were never demo'd by Oasis). Noel, typically, has probably got it wrong that the soundcheck version is 15 years old. The soundcheck version as far as I'm aware is from Hong Kong in 2009. But clearly this demo version was done during the Oasis days - it definitely sounds like 05-08 Noel. It's nice to have it out as Oasis.

I've just listened to it on Spotify.
I agree, it's lovely. It's got the same vibe of the soundcheck version we've been listening for years.
I'm glad to finally have it in some form.

Always thought it was "face all the stars in the sky" but it's actually "feast on the stars in the sky." We take it for granted how good Noel can be with his lyrics sometimes. I know it's simple but the imagery is just incredible.

I agree though, it's a gorgeous, simple tune with genuine lyrics. Classic Noel.

I notice Noel is lisping a bit in this demo. When did he get his teeth fixed? Presumably we can date it at least before then.

It would be cool if they released a 12" (or even 7") vinyl disc of this up tomorrow.

I've never been a fan who goes nuts over Noel's soundcheck songs. The ones we were lucky enough to hear over the last 15 years of the YouTube era were always just ok to me with maybe the exception of that fiery version of "A Simple Game of Genius".
- God Help Us All - Don't Stop - If I Had A Gun - A Simple Game of Genius - The Dying of The Light
In the end they all just came out ok, nothing Earth shattering but I'm happy to have them all. Glad "Don't Stop" didn't end up on the next Noel album. Only forward progress for me.

Anyway, wrost Oasis artwork by far. Considering the circumstances, he probably asked if anyone in his office knows how to make a cover using photoshop. It's not like it is currently easy to coordinate a photo shoot for a cover.

About the artwork: is a view from a city from above or is it a picture of waves/the sea?

The shoot is quite ok, the font is horrid! XD That's what made me think it is just a simple photoshop job by someone who doesn't normally use it (e.g. just use the default font).

Like it, sounds great as it is. Guess there's no mention of DBTT's anniversary like SOTSOG's because they get in the way of WTSMG's 25th.

It's one of Noel's typical effortless tunes. Really nice but I can see why other acoustic tunes have been chosen ahead of it on his albums.

Let's hope there is more to come: maybe Noel's management thought there is no big market for that era re-release wise and he's gonna drop em one by one.

It's a demo, but not just Noel with a acoustic guitar. Released as an Oasis song
Why is the Oasis logo not the classic logo? Technically now, the first ever Oasis release (Columbia vinyl in 93) and the last ever (for now?) release use the same Oasis logo

Hey a demo. Thanks Noel!
As for it's date I don't think anyone could say with any certainty. As for whether it's Oasis or not I'd say it definitely is. I'd describe any demo Noel made with the intention of it possibly being on a future Oasis release as being 'Oasis'. That goes for any song written before Oasis split too unless Noel says otherwise.
