Sounds like 2007-2009 Noel to me. I'm thinking the demo is polished up, but the song would indeed have fit well on the first HFB album.

I searched for 'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' on Spotify and it wasn't there. Realised my mistake and then typed in Oasis and saw it there. Really refreshing to have a song released by Oasis with 2020 beside it

It's on youtube. I don't know how to feel about it tbh. Maybe a bit underwhelming, but it's only a demo.
edit. Good to know that people think this really is from Oasis times, not the NGHFB version he recorded (or didn't record, I'm confused)

Oh, this is for sure DBTT-era Noel/Oasis.
What name he should've released it under is kind of a damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. If he had released it under his project, people would have an issue with him claiming an Oasis-era demo under a solo moniker. If he uses Oasis, then he's using the Oasis name. I'd say, just be happy it's out there now, no matter the form.

To be fair if this was recorded by members of Oasis when they were still active and hadsn't been touched since then it has every right to be released as Oasis, not Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birdies.
