Yeah, I wasn't there (I went to the Thursday night gig, this was the 2nd night on the Saturday) but knew a few people who did. They either stayed on stage for the full 30 minutes or went off for a quick break then came back on and stayed on most of the time. Someone posted CCTV from the stadium on here a while ago, it showed the full 30 minutes of them actually fixing it. Obviously didn't watch it all but was interesting. I was there. They mainly staged onstage and made the odd comment but pretty much just sat around. I think Liam messed with a few instruments and there was talk of Live 8 (as this was on the same day). Mega gig though. Got absolutely crushed to fuck. Couldn't handle it and moved to safety before Cigs & Alcohol. We lost one of mates early on and found him outside the ground after the gig with 1 trainer on, no shirt and ripped jeans. He stayed at the front until My Generation but said he had to leave then as he thought he was gonna die! He got a cracking picture of Liam though. I'll post it if I can find it. Ha, similar story here. I was there on the Thursday night. Went with 2 mates but we'd got tickets separately and were told when we were queuing that we had to use different turnstiles. Tried to meet up in the ground once we were in but couldn't get a phone signal so was on my own the whole time. Got crushed to fuck, spent the whole gig trying to stay on my feet as was getting bashed all over. Met up with my two mates after and one of them had a ripped shirt. Great gig though |

At least you managed to get an emoji in focus. Lol. If you're able to read, it was my friend who took the picture. I think he did quite well to be fair considering he had about 60,000 people on his back and this was 2005 when camera phones were still fairly new. |
