You can barely make a decent quality EP out of everything released post 2000 never mind a best of album ffs It would be no stronger than a Hard Fi or Kaiser Chiefs compilation. Noel would hate that comparison, but hey, that's his problem for being half arsed in the 2000s.

Funny episode out last night.
Noel in good spirits - took the piss of the listing the colours of the rainbow a few times (rightly so like) but all good-natured.
Said he'd consider playing Let's All Make Believe live as he likes the demo version of that song and thinks he could pull it off now he's a better singer.
He's currently demoing the acoustic album, and has taken all the electric equipment out of his studio so he's not tempted, but he will get the band involved in an 'unplugged' way. Has six songs ready to go.
'In A Little While' will likely be on it but not a single. Doesn't think he'll change it much from the demo.
'God Help Us All' and 'Just Let It Come Down Over Me' have been demoed fully for it and he intends to put them on.
Not much else revealing, but still funny nonetheless.

Great news about Just Let It Come Down Over Me, I was saying recently that it needs to 100% be included on this acoustic album. I remember being obsessed with the demo of God Help Us All from the LDSMD film and used to be really hopeful that it would come out as a proper Oasis song. However the version Noel released on WBTM is so dull and lifeless, it totally killed the song for me. To think people were paying over £40 to buy the Japanese import of WBTM just to get that track, in hindsight is hilarious.

Glad "Just Let It Come Down Over Me" is finally going to have its moment. Fantastic tune. If Noel is going to include "God Help Us All" he might as well do a proper studio recording of "Dead In The Water". The song deserves proper treatment. Other bands have no issue offering different variations of tracks.

This isn't new info but think on an older episode he'd said about how he was all set to record DITW in Abbey Road with a full orchestra - it was booked in, but then the second UK lockdown (so end of 2020/start of 2021) scuppered it and he scrapped it, he says he doesn't want to do it and wants to leave it as is. From the new episode, he did say he wants to carry on the NYE tradition of putting out a new song.

Yeah there was a question if he'd ever play it live and he said he'd forgotten about it but actually he'd 'definitely consider' it. Said 'since the other fella doesn't sing it' and he thinks he'd be able to sing it a lot better now than he (as in Noel) did back on the 1998/1999 demo, he'd consider giving it a go.

Can't imagine he would, he said it really suits it he just doesn't think he'll change it much. Tbh though it's still a 'proper' release really isn't it? I mean for most people spotify/apple etc now is just where you listen to everything anyway.

Oh he also said he's back off the booze until the TCT gigs as he was 'feeling and looking awful' by the end of the tour.

Yeah, that's what I meant it's still a proper release if he's going to be on the next album even though he's not really going to change it much. I do like the song though.

I don't like the live bathroom recording. Song is too good for that to be the only version we get official from him. Shame, other times he played it on radio acoustically tower over it. Clear Noel vocals.

Wait, I remember Waiting for the Rapture being recorded acoustically in the shower stall, but same for DITW? I thought DITW was recorded during that Irish radio session?

I joke that it sounds like he’s in a bathroom with all that reverb going on. Hate the effects that studio did to the song. But that’s just me.

I still play Just Let Come Down Over Me on my J-150 at least once a week. Crazy that an unreleased little song from 10+ years ago can be such a big part of my life. I’m glad it’s finally getting it’s due

Is this acoustic album finally the time for "Slow" to make its grand entrance. So many of us have been waiting for it since October 1997. You can already see the drawing card for making this album have a spotlight. So many reviews would mention a song almost 30 years in the making. Now is the time babe!!!

I'm glad he's going to put In a Little While on the record. I had judged it as b-side material but over time it has grown a lot and now I love it. Little gem that warms the heart.
