Talked a bit about Guns N Roses Thanks for the review of the podcast! Does Noel like Guns N Roses? I always wondered what he made of them.

Thanks for sharing! You're one of the reasons why I check this thread from time to time. Does “Noel 90s Collection” mean we can see more signature guitars coming out? No worries! Try my best to remember everything but some things slip through- usually get all the main bits Yeah I think so! He mentioned a couple more signature guitars on the way. He also said he uses some of the Gibson copies rather than his own original one now, because they are that good. Thanks for the review of the podcast! Does Noel like Guns N Roses? I always wondered what he made of them. He said he liked them, saw them many years ago at Maine Road and said they were incredible, but it was part of a discussion about seeing bands at their peak (and used it as another reason as to why he wouldn’t reform Oasis) basically says the bands peak is the real thing, and everything after is a pale imitation (mentioned “true” Oasis as being 1991-1996) One other thing I forgot to add to my post- he told a story about him and Liam having a mad night out with lead singer of Depeche Mode - David Gahan, how they did an impromptu gig at the Viper Rooms in LA (Oasis, not Depeche, but talked about him playing on a song, harmonica or something? Can’t remember exactly). Told a funny story about them being in a taxi with Gahan and the taxi driver asking about Depeche Mode and “hadn’t the lead singer just died” and Gahan was like “No I’m the fucking lead singer!”. It was funny when he told it anyway

It was funny when he told it anyway 15-17 years ago you could still get his Epiphone Supernova Union Jack for retail $500. It’s shot up tremendously since production stopped. Missed my opportunity. Wish they made more at that price.

I got a 2002 Gibson J-150 recently in a small guitar shop in Maryland. It’s the blonde one he’s playing now every now and then. Missed my chance at the J-150 Signature. Shot up from $4K to $10K on Reverb the day after it was issued. Crazy

Also said that he didn't go to watch Macca at Glastonbury but went to see Jamie T from the disabled platform instead with his "dear friend" Rita Ora, his kids and other people. Rock and roll 🤘😁

I saw some angry tweets earlier about Noel's degrading behavior at the Glastonbury disabled area from the people who were there, apparently he has now confirmed it on this podcast?

Yikes. Just saw that story. I'm sure we will hear he was only joking with Matt but you'd have to work at it to create worse PR.

His comments are frankly horrific. Arrogant, stupid and demeaning. What a fuck.

Probably, but I find these things so annoying and disrespectful.

I have to step in here, they discussed this on the podcast, and I'll tell you now these comments are taken so far out of context its unreal. One of the comments in that article was actually Matt, not Noel, and if you heard it you'd know it was absolutely a joke, not serious in the slightest. The context was more like "I just went and stood on the platform, it's not like I was tipping folk out of their chairs". Tabloids spouting usual shite. They'll laugh about this on the next podcast.

OF COURSE he was joking, pretty clear from the podcast (unless you really want to believe he was seriously saying he'd tip people off a wheelchair to watch Jamie T, but that's up to you)

I'll briefly share this short clip of them discussing it, for those who want to listen, but you'll see its really taken out of context, it's just how he talks with Matt, it's not like other interviews - (Link Removed)

I do think it shouldn't be done, but I've never been to a festival like that and know things can get a bit messy I just hope, and it sounds like that to me, they didn't really bother anyone, that'd make things different for me The rest of it I don't care cause it's clearly all in jest and so extreme that it actually sounds harmless (again, to me at least)

I know they might well have been 'joking' but believe me as someone with a disability I can't even begin to overstate how much this is in poor taste, especially the bit where Noel was going 'rise, you may walk' or whatever. I've heard these kind of comments a million times from people and I'm sick of hearing them frankly

His comments are frankly horrific. Arrogant, stupid and demeaning. What a fuck. Yeah. Generally the kind of demeaning thing you could put down to a sense of humour because it’s basically a comedy podcast run by a comedy writer and a lot of comedy is rather shocking and generally I have no problem with that depending on context, I’m not one for censoring comedy. But when you couple that with the arrogance of just storming onto a disabled platform like you can go anywhere, then it kind of brings the demeaning aspect of it into a different context in my opinion Definitely doesn’t sound good when you put it all together.

Sick of it

Fair enough that it may offend some people, but I don't think it was as bad like these tabloids are making out. I'm not disabled so I don't have any right to judge how anyone should feel about it.
There's a lot of dark humour in these podcasts, but it's also one of the reasons it's as good as it is. Completely agree each to their own though regarding how to take these jokes.

People will defend any behavior of the Gallaghers no matter what, but this ... I mean, he obviously knew. He also says the security told him it was in case he truly couldn't figure it out.
