I mean, it's a damn solid record. Sure, it has a few duds, but so does Morning Glory. It's just a great rock record that gets way too much hate. So come on, show a little love for Heathen Chemistry.

I like it more than DBTT and the last half of DOYS. It came out when I was 17 so I have quite a lot of good memories attached. The last of the great Bsides too.

Just to clarify, I'm not trolling. This thread is for Heathen Chemistry fans/people who enjoy any part of Heathen Chemistry. Not for mental midgets who can't tolerate disagreements. Thank you and god bless.

DOYS was just disappointing outside of the singles and a few album tracks. I find that HC is Oasis' last strong effort. They should've split up after it. It did have great B sides. Their last great B side was pass me down the wine.

I do think that Probably All in the Mind is over-hated.
It's not good, but it isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be.

The Hindu Times - Best song on the album. Classic Oasis. The guitars are weak and frustratingly watered down though (like they on much of the album) from the obviously superior demo. Force of Nature - A decent slice of 70's Glam Rock which contains some of that 90s Oasis swagger. Noel's vocals weigh the song down though. The guitars are better here and the piano works well. Hung in a Bad Place - Meh. Whose this appealing too? It's nice to have as many Liam sung rockers as possible but this is very, very average. B-side quality. Stop Crying Your Heart Out - An obvious single but god it's sickly. Especially the chorus. The lyrics are pretty cringe inducing too. It's not for me but in my opinion it's still a strong piece and I think the outro is really quite pretty. I think it lost something from the demo and with more work could have been notably better than it is. Songbird - A surprisingly decent tune from Liam. A little too sweet for my liking but it doesn't overstay its welcome. Little by Little - Another obvious but sickly single. Why wasn't this on SOTSOG? That album was blatantly lacking single material. A Quick Peep - Totally and utterly harmless. Does anyone actually want this from Oasis though? No. (Probably) All in the Mind - A really surprisingly poor effort from Noel. It's like a slightly psychedelic 'The Good Rebel' (another poor song Noel wrote around the same time). The band has produced worse songs but it's possibly Noel's worst effort. Maybe it's b-side worthy, though it probably would have been better to remain unreleased much like 'The Good Rebel'. She Is Love - I don't get the hate on this one. Too cute maybe? I don't know but I like it (just not as a single). Born on a Different Cloud - Another one of Liam's better efforts but it's not as good as people make out. A real Lennon/Beatles pastiche. I'm pleased it's on the album (for lack of better material) but for me it's not what I want from Oasis. Better Man - Lame

All the singles are great along with Born On A Different Cloud. The rest is either passable or piss poor. It might’ve been a different story if it had been produced by someone who knew what they were doing.

I find it hard to give the entire album A Quick Peep let alone listen to that song, which is one of the worst Oasis have ever put out.

I kind of like A Quick Peep, it's just a short intrumental and with that piano bar sound it sounds way more interesting than many other tracks on the album, would be interesting to hear a long version of it.

I do think that Probably All in the Mind is over-hated. It's not good, but it isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be. I don't hate it but I suppose that really is the problem with it. Being utterly indifferent to something so dull is worse than hating it. A song that makes you feel nothing.

What on Earth is the problem with A Quick Peep? Sounds all right to me.
Anyway, I generally don't understand the hate towards this album. Yes, the songs are infinitely better played live but they aren't "piss poor" on the album, that's for sure. It's got some of Liam's best work, some of Oasis' absolute coolest songs, and the period concludes Liam's peak vocals, peak clothes and fantastic setlists.

The Hindu Times - Very good song, not a fan of the performance or production, but very well written. Force of Nature - Like this one, don't know why everyone hates it. Hung in a Bad Place - Meh, not bad. Stop Crying Your Heart Out - Fantastic. Liam sounds incredible. Songbird - Good song but not Liam's best with Oasis. Little by Little - Love it, absolute tune and my favourite on the album. A Quick Peep - Would love to see this turn into a proper song as I love how it sounds! (Probably) All in the Mind - YUCK, one of their worst songs. She Is Love - Meh, not bad. Born On a Different Cloud - Really like this. One of Liam's best with the band really. Better Man - Nice groove but the song doesn't go anywhere, really dig it live though. The Cage - Forgot how this sounds.
