BTW Noel isn't on a major label and is making music he likes, for himself. Well at least somebody likes it

A major doing his marketing. So yeah, he also says (is told to say) stuff to promote himself. Nothing wrong with that, they’re all at it. Including Louis, doesn’t make him a moron/phoney. That argument doesn't make much sense. Louis is signed to a major label, Noel isn't. The distributor doesn't give a shit what Noel says or Does. Universal also do his marketing. The PR. Advertising. They give a shit. Big time. My point was Louis is doing nothing different than anyone else. Saying stuff to get publicity is bread and butter.

Doesn’t make Louis a moron. I hope he does well, even if I don’t like it. I hope you do well with your music too even though I might not like either.

I also would like to state that I shouldn't have called him a moron and have stated that he (Probably) isn't one.

And now Noel is a sellout. Can it get any worse? Kinda. He's selling out in a vague way by taking writing credits off this kids song. He didn't cowrite with him, nor did he sellout through his own music. So yeah, it could be a lot worse.

Well at least somebody likes it I like it. WBTM? is ear rape though. The EPs are cool. Some of WBTM is fantastic, Fort Knox, IABW and even Holy Mountain.
Sail On is his best tune in years IMO, I can do without the rest.

If Love is the law, The Man Who Built The Moon, and BCWYWF are all good tunes. i just think the album itself blows. Sail on, ADIAINTGB, Come on Outside, TITP, and BSD are all great. Wandering Star is fine, a bit boring though. BMR seems great.

In all honesty I was expecting much worse.
Nobody will sit on a chair on a wall as well as Liam did though.

It sounds like someone's original composition piece for GCSE music from around 2003

To be honest, I barely even hear the Acquiesce chorus (the first part is close I suppose). He (or his team?) basically did what Noel has done for his whole career -- take a few different songs that he likes and meld them into something sort of new/sort of reminiscence of other songs you have heard, bordering on outright copying. The song is definitely not for me, but no need to attack him personally because it's bland or "unoriginal".

I think the song is actually good and the video is a nice tribute as the video has clear Oasis references as well.
I like most of us use to dismiss boy bands and their solo careers. I dressed the fact that five of them would be all over the airwaves. However, I can confess I've been surprisingly impressed.
I would consider sign of the times one of the best pop songs of the decade. It broke the mold of a 3 minute pip song and was a bit of a throwback epic. While I would not go out of my way to listen to walls I enjoyed the tribute.

I think it's pretty common for fans of boy bands to be enraged by other boy bands. Oasis was a boy band at one point. I imagine such a comment will ruffle a few people. It certainly did me about a decade ago.
