Several months until the new album and people moaning about: the album cover, the photo on the cover, the people on the photo on the cover, the font used on the cover, the album title, the time Liam has spent recording the songs, his participation in the writing of songs that are not yet known (LOL), the artistic direction of an album that has not yet been listened (LOL), the venue of the gig, the unknown (LOL) set-list of a single concert, whether Liam should or shouldn't sing Oasis' tunes... spoiler: yes, Liam IS Oasis, deal with it. I'm sorry to write it but this place has become unbearable. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, you are entitled to challenge or ignore. I think leron has expectations so high and narrow that any result is likely to disappoint him and andymorris doesn’t even like Liam, bizarrely it seems personal, maybe something to do with that demo tape 😂

Pretty sure Liam wants to “send them” a legal release to be used on the cover, which he and Deb probably forgot, haha I was thinking about this, it is really weird and shit world we are living if someone can take photo of you and put you on album cover without you knowing it. I know that they are thinking that this guys are proud now but still.

And this is supposed to be a HYPE thread. I'm sure there are other threads where you can discuss if Liam should be playing Las Vegas 'Twas obviously a joke about Vegas, come on now. Anyway, HYPE away. You have 7 months to fill ...

Everyone is free to write what they want, as I am free to now consider this an unbearable topic.

true, that band was built on tension and fighting. By the way Dear Bomb, where about do you live in LA ? I understand if you don't wanna answer I really enjoyed it except getting in from Joshua Tree. That was LONG, like a never ending highway with like 55 lanes. Terryifing. I'm a Westside girl and have been since I first got here. About 5 miles from the ocean. As Frank Lloyd Wright once said, "if you tip the world on its side, everything loose lands in Los Angeles." 55 lanes, hahaha. I've spent quite a bit of time in J-Tree, but I never do the driving. Can't handle the 55 lanes. Oh yeah nice ! not too far from Santa Monica i suppose. We stayed in Culver City in a Super 8, and again for our second trip in a motel in Beverly Hills. I really enjoyed LA but my wife didn't. she Got a huge sunburn the first time and couldn't move for 2 days the road from San Diego is far nicer, close to the beaches and all. count on it for the Liam residency in 2029, we'll be there ! hope it will be a seating gig though, as i'll be old and grey by then. We plan on going back to the west coast asap, but for now a 10+ hour flight with a kid, there is some hesitation so maybe the east coast first. Overall people are so nice in the US.

I don't like much the new Liam, true, but i will always have eternal respect from the one 94 to let's say 07.

I still enjoyed Beady Eye because that was something a bit more true. Very true even. Is 4 years ok ? I'm all for re-releasing Beady Eye record under the Liam name. People have not heard them, so they ont know the difference ahaha.

In my opinion, the title "Better Days" for the lead single suggests something poppy, along the lines of NTIFY, but I'll reserve judgement until I hear the song, obviously.

In my opinion, the title "Better Days" for the lead single suggests something poppy, along the lines of NTIFY, but I'll reserve judgement until I hear the song, obviously. Liam said it's "full of sunshine", so sounds like a summery song that we won't hear until spring. But that's just my theory, and there's been speculation that the first single would be out before Christmas.

How do we know that Better Days will be poppy when we haven't even heard it or even a snipet of the song? If it's full of sunshine like Liam says then it could be something different.

I personally can't wait to hear it or the album come to that as it's been too long since we've had any new music from Liam apart from his All You're Dreaming Of single last year of course.

I really hope Liam ripped off Andy Morris's song so his hatred of Liam will finally be justified.

'Twas obviously a joke about Vegas, come on now. Anyway, HYPE away. You have 7 months to fill ... Nah, it's obvious trolling that this certain user does. Don't agree, it was pretty funny (though you might need to be American, IDK) I'm always happy when a post makes me laugh. Anyway, it's a friendly troll as trolls go (He comes here for a reason and it isn't hate.) A few thorns in the side give you something to think about. For me, this forum stands out because it's not just a stan fest, and there are such forums for Oasis and also Liam's twitter. It's nice to have somewhere people can talk honestly, and about the nitty-gritty (the marketing, the art, the future, that kind of stuff) so would be sad to lose that. But for those who just want to stan, which is fine, just don’t read his posts if they are harshing your mellow as we used to say in the 90s.

I could throw a stone into Santa Monica, though I technically live in Los Angeles. Let me know if you ever do come this way, for real. I can give you guys some tips at the very least –especially if you are a climber/hiker/movie buff, but I also have opinions on sushi, museums and music clubs. Can be fun to do Disneyland when the kiddo is a little older. Too young and they freak out, but around 5-7 usually works, depending on the kid. (Even though they’ve updated some rides, Disneyland more than any other one has a retro ridiculousness that I still get a kick out of as an adult.) 10 hours, eh? So I’m down to Europe or South America, unless you live in the Cook Islands. Also LIAM GALLAGHER’S COME ON YOU KNOW WILL BE A TRIPLE ALBUM WITH FIVE #1 HITS, ONE SONG SO MOVING IT WILL STILL BE SUNG AT WEDDINGS AND FUNERALS A CENTURY FROM NOW, A PUNK ANTHEM THAT WILL BECOME A PROTEST CLASSIC, AND GENERALLY CONSIDERED THE MOST MIND-BLOWING SONIC EXPERIENCE SINCE SGT. PEPPER’s LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND!!! (There ya go anyone else reading this – not skimping on the hype.)

Yeah id say i pretty much agree. Liam has always insisted that while he may write a decent song now and again he doesn’t consider himself a writer, or an artist; merely a rock singer and frontman. Who likes to give fans a good time and have a good time himself while doing it. I know some disagree, but I certainly don’t feel that by performing the Oasis songs he’s a tribute act, nor do I feel he isn’t entitled to do so because Noel wrote them. Just like if I saw a Roger Daltrey solo gig, I wouldn’t have an issue with him performing My Generation and all The Who’s hits just because Pete Townshend wrote them. It can’t really be denied Liam’s voice is the most recognisable sound of Oasis, and that for the most part his vocals gave the songs something unique no-one else could match (Noel had his moments there too). So for me Liam has every right to sing them live, and as long as there’s maybe 30-40% new material, I don’t feel he’s living in the past. He's not a tribute act because he performs oasis songs but he risks to be a tribute act if his solo music takes the second place and he's doing this just for the oasis nostalgia He could have played his big gig anywhere else but he chose Knebworth because it's an important part of oasis history, it's all based on the nostalgia Nothing wrong with it but we had oasis, I don't want a light version of oasis or something close to oasis I totally get where youre coming from, and it was literally a few days ago I said I thought he’d leave Knebworth untouched for that exact reason. If he was going to do a gig of this scale, I think I’d rather it have been somewhere else. However, like a lot of fans I was born too late to experience the 1996 gigs and it feels like the closest my generation will get. So for that reason I’m behind it.

I will let you know if we ever come back to LA. Hike and sushi… i’m in ! 😁 The kid is the next alex honold really, we did small rollercoasters last week, some kids were literally crying and he was uninmpressed 😂 even I was more scared than him on some rides. Expecting him to climb El Capitan in 15 mins someday. Proud Dad here! Anyway thanx for being so light about it all of course most of my comments are tongue in the cheek. Ive learnt english with the Gallaghers and that’s all they did all day long in interviews! Weird that some of their fans are so different. Maybe the fact that its all written only doesnt help. For the record i did give 7 or 8 to Liam’s last record. Its not what i was expecting him to become though. Just wished he would rely less on his past glory and noel’s material. A couple of tunes (even 4!) in setlists would be fine. He has a lot of good material to play, he just need to get it in people’s head. But its harder… As for the new record i’m hoping for six Liam 100% written tracks. That would be a good ratio.

I’d have less of a problem with that album photo if it was taken of a crowd at one of Liam’s own gigs. Reading festival feels like a bit of a cheat of a location, full of casual listening students all going after exam results. Most likely never paid for a Gallagher related record/ticket/Merch in their life. Yes I am that sad pedantic guy to notice

Reading festival feels like a bit of a cheat of a location as it’s full of casual listening students all going after exam results. Probably never paid for a Gallagher related record/ticket/Merch in their life. Yes I am that sad pedantic guy to notice Mate, the reaction he got at Reading was unbelievable! (I was right amongst ‘em). This is a generation raised on ‘Supersonic’ who treated him rightly like a legend. I wouldn’t worry a jot about that.
