If he does another piano tune I want it to sound like The Contenders by The Kinks.

If I listen to as you were and why me why not, in comparison for Liams songs kn As you were feel different. I hope he will take some time for number 3 and comes with his songs that just need a little icing on the cake like "i've all I need" this and his other songs just feel better and right. Why me why not lacks character and substance somehow. I hear clever songstructures but they don't let me feel something.when I heard the first lines of Universal gleam I felt Liam. When I hear allright I really get bored somehow although there are more things happening. I cant describe it. I just wanted why me why not to have more soul and I think most of the songs loseattraction within a few weeks. I get ur point but then again in Once i can feel that he means every word Thats the one song for me where I truly feel Liam and the river, which is just perfect with liams voice.

Give it that garagy vibe.

I hope he does a full on rock album next. He should give Wyatt/Kurstin a swerve next time out. Not that I don't like what they did but he needs to mix it up a bit now.

I think they are perfectly capable of doing that sort of record. I think they would enjoy it but going on Liam's comments lately about the process they are working around what Liam is sending them. I'm just not sure that's what Liam is writing at the moment.

It's loud and has an edge to it without resorting to angry Liam parody.

I'd like to see him go in a groovier, more Mad-chester direction. Songs like One of Us and Invisible Sun show that with a modern sheen, it's a great way for Liam to sound both tuneful and compelling. Ian Brown is a great influence for him, I think.

Would like to see him work with Dan Auerbach or Josh Homme at one point. Also why not doing 1-2 songs w Taylor Hawkins and Dave Grohl.

He can stick with those little guys from Warners and easily get another number one album.

I think Liam would like that too but I just don't think he writes that way full stop tbh, it may be his preferred type of song to sing but I think when writing he naturally goes down the more heartfelt route. The main songs he has written that spring to mind when I think of songs written by Liam Gallagher are Songbird, Born on a Different Cloud, Soul Love, Start Anew, Bold and I've All I Need and none of those are particular rock belters.

Those "little guys form Warner" and Debbie helped Liam to get on a track again. and nobody has "attacked" you for having a different opinion on Liam's new album by the way.

3rd album to be released on 21 August 2022, title I Was There. Cover a pic of Liam standing next to an empty weed covered swimming pool with the rusty remains of an old Rolls Royce in it.

The third album needs to have a change of direction. As You Were was great but I got bored soon because we've heard almost the entire album before it was out and the hype died too soon because between the lead single and the album release. Plus the quality of the songs was great for a debut album but being honest he's been doing this stuff for 20 years. Why Me Why Not is the most solid record he's done in ages and it is really a step further. The songs are more detailed and the production is mega. For the third album there's no more steps left to take in this direction,he has to change the direction so people won't get bored. But he's in good hands. Yep totally agree. I would personally love a balls out punk/ rock album as mentioned a wee while ago. Thinking Headshrinker, Bring it on down Greedy soul, Invisible sun and Shockwave kinda feel for me if I was in charge! The problem is Liam or his "army of songwriters' can't write songs like that. Liam has always been better at writing slower songs and if Shockwave is supposed to be Greg Kurstin's idea of what "rock and roll" is, we don't have a chance! I really like WMWN, it has a lot of variety and would like to see album three just pushing it further with a little less pop, e.g. all the annoying "hey" and "woop" baking vocals. Liam should listen to some 90's Nick Cave. I would love to hear his voice with that sort of production.

Now that would be biblical 😎 I could well imagine him in his power stance feet at ten-to-two, hands behind his back, parka coat, gazing into that empty weed covered swimming that once represented the pinnacle of Brit pop.

I think Liam has the formula - proven by two (hopeful) number 1 albums plus massive shows - and he's going to be very, very, very reluctant to change it now. I hope for the opposite. Now he’s proved he has the audience, hopefully the record label will let him take a (really small) risk and make the punk album he wants to. X

Is he really as whipped by Warner as people on here express?
Liam: I'm gonna make a proper The Stooges album next. Mad rockin'. Warner: We can not allow you to do that Liam. Now go into that booth and try to get us another mainstream ballad hit. Liam But... Warner. Do. You. Know. What. We. Mean? Liam: ... yeah...
*walks without any swagger to the singing booth*

I’m not a fan of his solo ballads at all, I much prefer the rockier and more uptempo tunes. X

He wants to do what sells, so if Warner convince him this is the route to popularity he will listen. I don't think for a second he is doing anything against his will.
