You mention your 21 year old niece. To me that is the problem. It feels like an album that warner have made for the kids to make it fit in with chart music. It has grown on me slightly but i must say after the first week i donāt find myself looking to listen to it How is it a problem? If anything, that's the best compliment someone who's been around as long as Liam could have. It'd be very easy for him to not try to appeal at least a bit to younger people but the thing is it's arguably thanks to younger people being interested that he is what he is at the moment. He blurs the line between current/heritage act in the sense that he's been around for many many years but he has an incredibly strong younger following and they're helping him to sustain Absolutely; thatās the master trick theyāre pulling. Current/heritage.

To be honest I haven't yet listened to the bonus song on Come On You Know yet as I've been listening to Liam live at Trsmit from last year and the Knebworth high lights from Radio X plus the UK version of Come On You Know and also I'm currently listening to Why Me Why Not. But no doubt I'll listen to the Japanese version of Come On You Know soon.

A couple of weeks in, and COYK has really grown on me. My first listen, I've got to admit I was a bit underwhelmed, but also maybe a bit confused. It definitely wasn't what I was expecting. But after sitting with it and giving it more time, it's really growing on me. There's some curious choices for sure, but I'm happy to hear LG on some new sounds, more modern sounds. He can always bang out big rock bangers, that's always a card he can keep up his sleeve, but it's nice to hear something that sounds more on the fresh side. I've been playing it around the house, my 21 year old niece who's staying with us even asked "That's the guy from Oasis? It sounds like something newer." So that's a good thing. That said, regarding the talk about the charts, as exciting as it is to see LG hit #1 (Noel as well), it's fairly remarkable, and not too common, for heritage acts to maintain this level of success in the charts and in the cultural zeitgeist. Pop music is a young person's game, and #1s are harder to come by the older an artist gets. Even if there's a drop off in sales (there always is when you're older, as your fan base by and large is what it is at this point), I love seeing their name in the top of the charts. You mention your 21 year old niece. To me that is the problem. It feels like an album that warner have made for the kids to make it fit in with chart music. It has grown on me slightly but i must say after the first week i donāt find myself looking to listen to it I donāt see how any of the album can be seen as a way to appeal to the kids and the charts. There are instruments being played for a start. I'm forced to listen to Capital radio stations at work a lot and none of this album sounds like any of that dirge. Kids arenāt lining up to listen to punk-reggae mash up tunes or takes on life in Russia.

I don't use Spotify so I don't really know. But the reason why I mentioned it is because there's already been four songs released. But that said Liam could easily release one more as I seem to remember that five songs were released from the first album.

Well, I don't listen to the radio so I wouldn't know and I'm not sure about UK radio. Yes, all the songs have been released but I was thinking how many singles are going to be released from this album.

I was in NY last week, and while listening to one of the major radio stations, a track from the album started to play. I was so surprised I have now forgotten what track it was (plus my teen daughter quickly changed stations)

A bit late to the party but here is my review:
More Power - This track is a great surprise, unexpected intro to the album, amazing outro. 8/10
Diamond In The Dark - The verses sounds a bit like Arctic Monkeys, great song really. 9/10
Donāt Go Halfway - I like the beat, but it doesnāt go anywhere. 5/10
Cāmoon You Know - It grew on me, great chorus and nice outro. It would have made more sense if it was released during the World Cup. 8/10
Too Good For Giving Up - The obligatory ballad, a nice one actually, not as good as Once but it does its job. 7/10
It Was Not Meant To Be - Not much to say about it, ok-ish at best I guess. 6/10
Everythingās Eletric - A grower, I like the beat, cool song for a first single. 8/10
Worldās In Need - I like the āfeel goodā feeling of this song, nice arrangements. 7/10
Moscow Rules - Amazing, Liam spreading his wings a bit more musically, the song that I liked the most I guess. 9/10
Iām Free - Throwaway, the best thing about it are those cool reggae elements. 4/10
Better Days - Clear single material, but that overused Tomorrow Never Knows beat is unnecessary. 8/10
Oh Sweet Children - Not the epic closer people wanted but maybe it wasnāt meant to be, nice outro. 7/10
The Joker - Gorgeous song, definitely should have been on the album. 9/10
Wave - Interesting song, a grower? 7/10
Album cover - Donāt put a crowd on the cover of a studio album or people will think it is a live album, and another black and white cover again, who Liam thinks he is? U2? 4/10
Overall: Interesting album, it's great to see Liam willing to try some new stuffs, new ideas, it's a well produced album and it sounds amazing and his voice sounds really good throughout. It may be his most cohesive album, not much ups and downs like WMWN and what's great about Liam is that he is not attached to a guitar so he can sound like anything he wants to. Liam have come a long way since Beady Eye, he is more mature now but still having that desire in his heart to make music. Well Done. 7,5/10

I really hope Nothing Nowhere is released as a stand-alone single in the future. I reckon thatās the most likely case with the positive reaction to it.

I remember that comment. I replied that NO WAY a non single tune was going to surpass Wall Of Glass. Obviously it didn't happen. More Power has even more listens than TGFGU

More Power has even more listens than TGFGU Personally I listen to More Power more frequently than TGFGU but that doesn't mean that one is better than the other. TGFGU is a masterpiece but you can't listen to it like a common other song. Her lyrics are so delicate that you can only go and listen to her when you feel in a certain mood. It is not a song that you can normally "consume" as a background .. it is a song that you have to connect emotionally to.

I wouldn't be surprised if the chorus is penned by the singer himself. And musically speaking is miles far above TGFGU, more interesting at first listen and more "anthemic" if you will. I understand why some people love TGFGU, but to me is the least interesting ballad of all 3 albums. (Meaning FWIW and Once of course)

Itās a brilliant song and one of his best heās ever written (if he did indeed write it himself) Didnāt Liam say on twitter it was going to be on the 4th album?

Now that the hype is a bit dead I can tell is a good album! Love it more than WMWN honestly. More Power, Diamond In The Dark, Moscow Rules, Everything's Electric, The Joker and the dub bridge in I'm Free are absolutely brilliant tracks for his catalogue. Don't Go Halfway has grown on me. The rest is pure filler or meh

I think he said 'not this one' when asked if it was on the album. I'm not sure he explicitly said it would be on his 4th album. Some one on here said they had a copyright strike on their YT over the song and it was a Various Artists channel that claimed it, which if genuine suggest it is going to be on a compilation, possibly a soundtrack release for a movie or series.
