I like the song, but watching the video I noticed for the first time that lovely background melody that starts at 0:49, can't get enough of that now! What instrument is that, first I thought it's a piano, but it's not, is it? And, sorry, Noel and Ysee, but now I'd like to have an instrumental version, just for that part. Its some kind of arpeggietor

I didn’t watch the video yet, pretty sure Noel is taking the piss with it so I’m prepared for a laugh. The song though sounds GREAT in good headphones

It’s ironic because the Mafia Board are convinced that this isn’t the place. Shame on them.

I hate how the video is emphasising Noels moves cutting back from the mic and screwing his face up like he's chewing a lemon on the high notes. Like they're trying to brand him. It used to be cool but now it's cheesy as fukc. The turtle neck and necklace aren't helping. They should've just kept it to the clips and animations and let the band have a day off. There's so many other directions that Noel and his team could be taking with the videos besides the dad rock-like trite he's come out with for Black Star Dancing and This is the Place. They're cool-sounding, good songs and the artwork is awesome, but the videos let it down hard. I understand that videos don't mean much these days, but it'd be nice to see Noel get the aesthetics right across the board, instead of 2 out of 3. Like have some storytelling going on, or do some sort of trippy collage video. Tame Impala has some very good videos that Noel could go off of for reference:

The song is great up until the first chorus and then it just becomes a huge mess. It might just be too sophisticated for my ears. I am preferring Liam's new songs at the moment, which is a huge turn around for me. There's only really one song on As You Were that I'd say I like a lot. Liam's new stuff is 3 out of 4 so far. Actually quite excited about buying this one.

This song is intresting in the sense that it's actually not bad, yet I couldn't care less about it. The reason being that I just don't think Noel himself is bringing anything to the table here. Take him out of the song's equation and not much would change, maybe it would even be better with another singer, who knows. It's a Noel Gallagher song where Noel Gallagher is sort of expendable, and that's a problem for me.

dont get how some mad people who dont care for Noel's new stuff keep on coming here moaning and all. same for Liam's PLACE - new tunes bore me and I dont spend the day complaining about it over there 'not authentic' Well, you answered it yourself - I’m mad. Got a certificate to prove it too. Put all the emojis you want after re quoting me but it isn’t authentic when for years and years he just stood there on stage playing. Now it’s all gone a bit Kajagoogoo. Listen, I love Noel and I only want what’s best for him. "emojis" "re quoting" in what fucking world you're living in, MATE? he's always been that way, only you little man has changed, who knows. or maybe you should have?

I’m bracing myself for this spoken word nonsense coming down on one of the additional EP tracks. That stuff to me always gets dated fast and rather gimmicky. Hope I’m wrong.

Just get the work experience kid in the office to make some stupid kaleidoscope lyric video.

I can't believe the total over-reaction to this video! You lot make me laugh so much! Chill the f**k out!
Noel hates videos - we all know that. It's a complete piss-take of the sort of cheap video that accompanied acid house tracks back in the late 80's / early 90's. The sort of stuff you'd see on the Chart Show on a Saturday Morning. The song itself is very much influenced by that era of music so it works well in that sense, but please don't remotely take it seriously!
Who gives a f**k anyway? Do you still watch the video for any Oasis single or do you just listen to the music?

Terrific stuff. Hoping for more.

He clearly never could be bothered to do them in the first place, even when they actually had a bearing on the band's success. To be honest, I am surprised he does them at all as a solo artist. He must have some intern at Ignition that would love to use iMovie to slap together something for him.

Most people don’t care about the video. Most people are only concerned about the music. People are still allowed to laugh at something they think is shit, regardless of its intentions.

I just can't get into RR, I find it such a bore, and its really rare I say that about any Gallagher song. And you'd think that since I love The Right Stuff that I'd probably also like RR. I haven't listened to it since it came out, and again, that is very rare for me for any Gallagher release.

3/10 ~ Black Star Dancing ~ (Bland) 6/10 ~ Rattling Rose ~ (Good, but done better before) 5/10 ~ Sail On ~ (See above^^) 3/10 ~ This Is The Place ~ (Even blander)
I haven’t listened to any of these songs in weeks and have no desire to listen to them at all. It’s really strange for me as I usually eat up a Noel Gallagher release and listen multiple times a day for weeks.
He really needs to knock it out of the park with the remaining songs from these EPs to save it from being a complete disaster.
