Seriously, who needs to buy pictures of NGHFB on tour in 2018? This really looks like what you'd find in a tour programme, nothing more memorable. Sell us some extra music instead, a live album or DVD would be more worthwhile. |

Here’s a review. Apparently we are spared a “surrealist children’s tale of Digsy, a lasagne-loving walrus who eats a magic pie and turns into the world’s slowest cannonball.” I think this review gets it spot on. The intro gives way to the making of the album (and the reviewer is spot on in saying ‘arguably hist best record in two decades’) and it would be cool to hear more about that. Backstage antics and all that.... I couldn’t give a fuck. Sure, there’s some great stories from the hedonistic years (mainly consisting of Liam as the star man) but that is always going to be a side offering and bonus to the music but Noel’s a sensible bloke now with nothing fascinating to tell off stage, and there’s no problem with that. Just don’t bother writing a book about it! Reality is, you could have the most seemingly unremarkable individual who prefers being tucked in bed by 9pm supping Ovaltine yet has a remarkable talent for writing songs and they’d still be far more appealing and intriguing than any mediocre pub rock star who tries to live the cliched lifestyle (*cough* Kasabian..). Not sure why Noel thinks there’s a need for this. Would rather hear accounts of the creative process surely? |
