Did he mean he couldn't imagine touring with a better group of people? Or is he envisioning Charlotte, Jessica, and Ysee as permanent members of his live band? The former I think - I think he’s just “these are the very best people for me at this moment in time”. Tbf, I really hope he continues with them for the foreseeable future. Gem and Chris elevate the band to a different level, and Mike/Russ/Jess work well to add a bit more. Then you have Ysee and Charlotte adding the bit of 'weird' to the whole thing. It works really well.

Overall just keeps cementing for me that 2017 was the best year for me since the glory days; both Gallaghers on full speed ahead, albeit with really different visions.
Liam totally ticks my ‘Oasis’ / parka / guitar craving, and Noel finally broke free from Oasis in the way I’ve wanted since SOTSOG.
It’s increasingly clear they’re not on the same planet as each other at the moment lifestyle wise, and music wise. But Noel mentioned Liam about 4/5 times last night, unprompted. It’ll forever be an elephant in the room for them.
2017 = what a year.

Oh and another good anecdote - Noel said he was in the South of France with Bono, and they ran into Elton John (“as one does”).
Said he took a photo in between them, purely to send to Weller to irritate him.
Said Weller simply wrote back “you’ve gone too fucking far this time”!

Can anyone understand what he's saying after mentioning Bowie? His voice is too low in the mix for me to hear it properly; what does he say about the drummer? http://instagram.com/p/BpSodSel_oh

I’d get a fucking drum machine tbh, I’ve had a lot of drummers- I bought this drum machine the other day right, can’t believe it, sounds exactly like a drum kit. Well where the fucks it been hiding all my life, I can tune up on my own( ), amazing”

I suspected he said something about drum machines as he said the same thing in the "Supersonic" documentary, that for him they're better than drummers.

Don't know if anyone else has pointed this out but this is the first time to my knowledge that Noel has ever said the words Pretty Green. In relation to the brand and not The Jam song at least.
I dont know whether I'm just being gullable because I just want Oasis back one day, but i think (or would like to believe) Noel is mentioning Liam quite a bit recently in a more jovial way to slowly take the attention off the recent shit he got himself into and keep the focus on their own stuff.

Has anyone got the book, or went to the launch? Seems like there's a pic of Chris and Noel holding my WWCSD t-shirt, according to the NME page. Wouldn't mind a photo of that page! Ofc I'll buy the book when it comes out, just curious ...

Just had a flick through the book in Waterstone's. Looks pretty well made and nice piece of promo for that photographer. Other than that I guess it really reflects the tour, as in mostly boring and self-indulgent to a lot of fans, yet seemingly amazing and 'the most fun EVER' to Noel / band / people around them

It was described as having stories about the making of the album, that’s what I was most interested in. X

By the time he'd hit the festivals in the summer, everything was just perfect. That's how I want to see him develop as a solo artist. He finally now has a stage presence about him, for one. He's developed this kind of stance where he leans back and quite low. His voice sounds better, and the band are great. We've got Liam to pretend it's the Oasis days again, so I'm fine with having the best of both worlds.

Same. Decent collectors item. I just couldn't justify £50 currently. Will still get the book, like.

So he's releasing a book of the tour, but the tour hasn't finished yet.
Nice.
