See them in court then. Some great PR. No. he just won't be seen singing any Oasis songs. If that's true.

If this is the truth then Noel is being an even bigger vagina than I thought he would. Those songs may be his but Liam is the one who sang them and Noel doesn't go out and sing Live Forever as he knows he can't. Having said that, I wondered if something like this would happen. If Noel decides to go ahead and sue Liam, he will go down in history as being the unreasonable one joining Morrissey on the way down. On the other hand, there is still the possibility that Liam is blowing something a lot smaller out of all proportion knowing full well he'll get the documentary title in a ton of headlines within seconds. It wouldn't be the first time.

It’s times like these where i’m glad i’ve never given the little bollock any money since he went solo.

I get the whole "they are his songs" argument, you're right. Still, it's an incredibly bitter thing to do, he's just being a fucking dick for the sake of it.

Someone less ignorant than me.. what's the difference between playing Live Forever at One Love on TV as opposed to putting that footage in a film?

Suppose he'll just point to Liam being the same. They're both as bad as each other. I do think this is a stupid play on Noel's side (management mainly for not having the sense to realise this is only going to alienate some fans).

Like Noel’s implied, he’s not interested in selling records anymore, done that. As long as he sells some theatres out and can give Bono a pokey bum wank I think he’s happy.

Such a bizzare move by Noel (his management) as it's free publicity for his songs which would drive streams and therefore money.

How does it work with Oasis records. Say if Liam decided that he didn't want any recordings of himself singing those songs can he withdraw permission to sell them in future or is it too late once they have been released commeracially?

Slag off someone’s wife and kids in public, this is what you get.
Why do people seem so surprised?

So how does it work regarding Liam singing them at his gigs?
Could Noel if he wanted to put a stop to that?

Just seems stupid. They both hate each other. Just sad that it's come to this. Then again, pretty sure they've both tried to sue each other before (Liam's definitely tried hasn't he, about something?) Neither of them need the money. Liam doesn't need the money for As It Was, but he's doing it for the fans as well. It's just a shame it's come to this. And then for Liam to air it as he does as well. Ah well, still got the tunes.

When did he slag off Noel’s kids? I remember him saying “or his fucking kid” but was there anything else? Either way surely Liam singing Oasis songs would benefit Noel in the end. I’m surprised that Warner and the lot didn’t ask for permission.

So how does it work regarding Liam singing them at his gigs? Could Noel if he wanted to put a stop to that? Liam's mentioned a few times (he even put it in a song in the summer) that he has to sign royalty forms every time he sings one of Noel's songs. And Noel's gloated/jibed about it as well. As others have said - I think that's also covered by the venue.
