I just watched the documentary in Curzon online. Some comments,
1. Great PR campaign. I´m sure this movie must´ve been in the managers´ head before AYW to change Liam´s reputation and get rid of Beady Eye´s shadow. However, they needed more story, the fall and rise sort of story. They waited, they got it and they made a nice film.
2. I am wondering what´s Liam´s relationship to Gem and Andy like nowadays.
3. Am I crazy or Alan White´s footage is always cut/edited from the films. You barely could see him in Supersonic. There were glimpses of Tony and Guigsy in AIW, but not Alan.
4. ONCE is mega.
3.

Can we just go back to talk about Liam's documentary instead of speculating the relationships between Gallagher brothers (Paul, Noel and Liam) and all that please? Thanks.

A bit dissapointed with the documentary... too much background music and voice over... but I like it overall. Definitely for Liam fans. I missed more footage of the Finsbury & LCCC gigs...

Is there any strong language in this mockumemtary? I don't like, watch or subject myself to any abusive languages.....
Thanks.

Kind of agree...it has heart and its clear he misses Oasis. ..(and dare I say Noel) but he is in a great place right now. The interviews with Paul were interesting though. I felt the ackward Debbie interviews looked like they were tagged on to kinda inforce...he's not a bad chap really vibe. Overall..as people have said its one for the hardcore fans...most people wont get as much of a kick out of it...a solid 6 out of 10.

Irony free forum members complain about the manipulation of history by someone they don't like after previous manipulation of history by someone they do like. Same members with the same posts every day I can´t understand why they post on Liam´s forum every fucking day if they don´t like anything related about Liam... Who said i dont like Liam ? I love him. I grew up with him, and pretended to be him in front of my mirror like the rest of you. I'm just not blindly in love with all he does. that's the difference between you and me apparently. Ive said many times i love Liam's songs, written by him. His songs on BE are amazing. What bother me is the business side of it all. He's marketing his relationship with Noel to attract sympathy, and that is sad. Yoko Debbie for the win, Liam's fans have spoken.

its like asking people to not talk about the titanic sinking and just talk about the film titanic. It kinda difficult not to when thats the main aspect of the film.

It's just a small thing and does not undo the hurt he did them, but I liked it when Liam said his children being "good people" are a credit to their mothers. I was surprised that we even got a short glimpse of Nicole Appleton. She must have OKed that? One thing that did stand out for me, he is a very lucky man, having a lot of people around him who love and support him, especially his mother, Paul, his children, Debbie and last but certainly not least Bonehead, who seems to be a really good friend. That story about him and Paul taking Liam away for him to sort out his head!
And it was lovely hearing the Beady Eye songs. I still love that band!
I actually did not miss the Oasis songs in that movie. Some musical choices were a bit odd though, like "Ave Maria". Other than that and the too hectic touring montage, it was a great fan fest and I lost it when we saw Liam in Dublin for his first show there and getting out of the car to sign stuff for the fans before entering the venue. If that was before the soundcheck, I was right there, thankfully out of camera range, shaking all over (and for a good hour afterwards) for seeing that odd little man in the flesh outside a concert setting.
Also, Paul still is not over little Liam stealing his LPs for a school disco and returning them scratched. I remember that part from his book.

Finally managed to watch the Blu-ray. Like others pointed out: it's a great watch, at least for fans, but there's nothing really new in it. A few full live songs would have been great. Not sure I'm gonna watch it again within the next 10 years.
Fun fact: There's a Dolby Audio logo on the back, but the disc doesn't even contain Dolby audio (PCM, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1). Region Code B. English subtitles (HoH) available.
The (boring and repetitive) extras (25min running time) are: - Abbey Road I Get By (album track dubbed, the actual performance is not audible) - Mariatchi Band L.A. (LG & family hanging around, mexican band playing awful music) - Peggy's childood (Peggy & Paul tell stories of Liams chidlhood) - Peggy's poofy cushion (babbling) - Quarry Tarzan (story about kid Liam playing in a quarry) - Rehearsal Hiring Band (album track dubbed, the actual performance is not audible) - Ritz (interviews around the comeback gig) - Snap Studios 01 (album track dubbed, the actual performance is not audible) - Snap Studios 02 (album track dubbed, the actual performance is not audible)

Watched and thought it was excellent.
Supersonic is a document of my teens.
As It Was my late thirties.
What the actual fuck!
That new Liam tune ‘Once’ totally took me aback, wow...

For all of you in the hunt for a link: if possible, send me a DM there.

Something I don’t understand is why Noel stopped them from using Oasis music but not his image/words/interviews?

Because he didn't have any rights in the interviews anymore. He can prevent them from using Oasis songs he wrote because they need to ask him due to his rights in the compositions (copyright law), whether he performs them or not. Not sure where a veto right in case of Liam-written Oasis songs performed by Liam solo comes from. Must be an Oasis-internal contract.

It was great seeing Paul on the doc and seeing how he's still seemingly still very close to Liam. Was nice to see.

He looks like hes even wearing the same coat. It's funny you say this because he come up on my feed (I too had never seen him before) and the video was subtitled "funny Liam story". I could have swore it was a Liam impersonator so i thought here we go and stuck it on. Low and behold it was Charlie. By the way he talks about Liam it isn't really a suprise I suppose. I'm bad for bigging up Liam but this bloke has never got out his arse.
