Interesting topic for discussion. Anyone got any favourites? 12714. Always liked this: They're trying hard to put me in my place And that is why I've gotta keep running
The future is mine and it's no disgrace Cos in the end the past means nothing
The opening line is great but I wanted to add the whole verse cos it's so good

Interesting topic for discussion. Anyone got any favourites? 12718. Btw, this definitely has legs for a thread on it's own, bit of a risk here of getting drowned out in loads of unrelated posts (admittedly most likely by me, sorry... )

Btw, this definitely has legs for a thread on it's own, bit of a risk here of getting drowned out in loads of unrelated posts (admittedly most likely by me, sorry... ) Indeed. Thought about that, but don't really like making me own threads. You're putting yourself out there a bit more than with normal posting, aren't you? Putting myself out there isn't really in my character, and, although this is merely the online world and not the real one, I don't like to pretend to be anyone else (beyond going by a different name, obviously). So, yeah, create one if you want. Won't mind. Still, though, it could useful for boosting the post count of this thread, if left here... Tough one, innit? 12,721.

12,759.12760. I think John Lennon took that line directly from Timothy Leary's 'The Psychedelic Experience' book I haven't read it personally (yet) but I remember reading about that lyric.

A topic that was presented in the "Count up to 1.000.000" thread, which I thought deserved its very own thread. Bring it!

Going to finish off my posting in this thread today with maybe my favorite opening lyrics of all time, now that I was reminded of them.
"Living on the road, my friend Was gonna keep you free and clean Now you wear your skin like iron And your breath's as hard as kerosene"
