Fair play to him for making the model on the cover himself. It looks great.

Reading interviews saying it's a piano driven album, influence is Bowie's Aladdin Sane. Plus pretty ballsy not to release a single these days to promote it. Turner first time taking a solo producer credit, plus it sounds like the rest of the band weren't around much when the recording was happening. You got a few members of Tame Impala and Mini Mansions on it as well.
Definitely think this album will split people down the middle especially ones who jumped on board with their last album AM. Pretty excited to hear it.
Hoping it turns out to the band's Hunky Dory.

"...a workspace littered with cardboard cutouts and Exacto blades - the result of countless hours Turner spent designing and constructing the elaborate architectural model you see on the cover of the album. " So, he did that hotel. "A sizeable portion of Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino was recorded by Turner, alone in that home studio" Fucj me that's some pretentious shite tbh

Rumor has it zero singles before the album drops. We get it all for the first time at the same time. Very Radiohead.

Although AM was the album that brought them back into the pop culture realm and gained them a ton of fans, I do hope this new album isn’t as slow/boring as I believe AM is. Alex feels like a zombie on stage and in interviews and I find it tedious to watch/listen to him sometimes. Obviously just my opinion but I hope there’s a bit more life to this new album

Some hip hop esque tracks but in the most parts it will be piano and voice.

He took his home demos to the studio where the other members recorded their parts around these demos. Apparentely it's an album with a lot of synths, not a lot of guitars. Inspired by Gainsbourg, among others.

No album sounds the same, you got the Britpop laddie sounding debut, the heavier second album, the stoner rock third, the summer indie forth and the slick rock commercial fifth. Now we're getting piano driven sixth. You can't say that don't surprise you. I definitely think this will be a love it or hate it type album for sure.

Confirmed, there won't be any singles before the release of the album. The album is out in less than a month so I'm not bothered.

So I saw the gig live on IG. It was a good comeback gig. Quite a shite setlist tbh,too many AM songs. Even played You're So Dark. The new songs sounded great, specially Four Out Of Five which it was the trailer song. Also One Point Perspective was brilliant. American Sports is that one in the YT add that came out a few days ago. She Looks Like Fun was a bit meh to me. All of them sounded quite AM + EYCTE. But I guess that I cannot judge some live tracks in poor quality yet. The new version of Hellcat was great too. But I'm kinda dissapointed with the setlist.
