Seems to have a dig a Noel at any given chance...
On twitter he had a go at the Graham Norton performance.
Probably just bitter. Don't bite the hands that once fed you Stevie boy. Surprised, considering his links to Uri...

Surprised, considering his links to Uri... Or maybe just maybe he just does not like "Holy Mountain". I can relate, I'm still not too fond of it either! And one assumes that he is free to have an opinion apart from who once "fed" him or does now.

Well his brother left Oasis because Noel was replacing him drum loops. I guess the bitterness comes from that.

His bitterness might not be unreasonable, we don't really know what happened with Alan and Noel has form being being an arse to people, he admits it himself. He might just be defending his brother who knows, looks like we never will for sure.

I thought about this the other day and I can't think of a song post HC that a drumloop on it except for The Wrong Beach and In the Heat of the Moment. It was more a tongue in a cheek comment Looks like from the archives the official reason was that Alan did not attend a "very important" meeting prior to DBTT and was sacked because of his lack of involvement and interest in the future of the band. Whatever the reason is, looks like he's made big money with Oasis. from a 2013 article The Oasis drummer Alan White is selling his London home for £7.5m. www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/property/buying-selling-moving/10100585/Oasis-drummer-Alan-Whites-Knightsbridge-house-for-sale.htmlJust another on the long list of former colleagues Noel has alienated. It happens with all bands really. Spending 24/7 and 365 days with the same 5 people, on tour, in studio (where the big tension is) you'd probably have killed one of them. Noel also has long term collaborators. He's had the same tech and roadies for 20 years and only changed recently. Same engineer for 25 years, same touring team... etc.

The guy who did one 15 day tour with Oasis 15 years ago and still badmouth Noel everytime he can, because his rich brother got sacked.

Just another on the long list of former colleagues Noel has alienated. I'd say this also happens in any job where someone is the leader/manager/boss/whatever. The person at the top who is perceived as being in charge of everything is always a target for alienation from those who work for them. I'd say you're not being an effective leader if you haven't pissed someone off because you sometimes have to make decisions with the bigger picture in mind rather than individuals. In the case of Oasis, everyone made a lot of money so it's not like they were ever left destitute by any of Noel's decisions.

And the most bitter ones tend to be the most mediocre too.

Someone update me - isnt steve longtime drummer for weller? Not since 2007. In 2007 Weller completely changed his band except Steve Cradock.

I heard that it was Steve's decision to leave. Weller's drinking was getting out of hand and he'd lost a brother (or other family member) through alcohol abuse, so he left.

Alan wasn't happy with the drums loops on SOTSOG, but he hated the way his drums sounded on HC, too low on the mix, if you listen to HC you will notice drums has no punch at all, has no weight, and Noel being the producer did not help, getting the right sound from the drums is complicated even for a veteran producer, now imagine a new one like Noel at the time.

Didn't know that. Thanks for posting. I'm not surprised he hated the way his drums sound on Heathen Chemistry; they do sound woeful. Even worse than how they sound on Be Here Now!

Yeah shocking the drums from Alan went from near perfection on MG to near disaster on HC. they sound really muffled and that's too bad because they would really have bettered track like Better Man or BOADC. Drums and voices are the hardest to record properly. I woudln't blame it all on Noel though for HC. There was an engineer too and the record is produced "by the band". I dont know if that's the reason of his departure though. I guess he probably thought he had enough money. And the DIV sessions were probably not gonna bring him much sunshine...

I still miss Alan. Outside Noel and Liam, he represented the best and the glory of Oasis. Gem, Andy and the spinal tap drummers did not.
