Let's say I treat WBTM like a DOYS sister The 2nd half of WBTM and the first half of DOYS together would have been amazing. Bag it up The Turning Waiting For The Rapture The Shock Of The Lightning I'm Outta Time Falling Down She Taught Me How To Fly Black & White Sunshine If Love Is The Law The Man Who Built The Moon

Dig Out Your Soul.
Just like DOYS, WBTM? does have some absolute great songs (best ever?), but also too much filler. I only rank DBTT and HC lower because those 2 are dreadful.

It pisses all over oasis Mk2 era, stands shoulder-to-shoulder with DM and WTS, and only BHN beats it.

It's perfect like this, wow. I would add IABW only, after TSOTL (these 2 songs have a similar feeling I think).

Too early to tell, but very high, very high. Not up there with DM and MG though.

Love how music is so subjective. (Not having a go at you whatsoever, genuinely chuffed for the people who love this album). The only Oasis album I'd say it's better than is HC, the rest I'd take over this. Probably on a level with DOYS, some great songs on both, some stinkers on both.

Do you honestly think there's tracks on here on the level of Ain't Got Nothin' and The Nature of Reality? Who Built the Moon pisses all over DOYS for me, and that's the best of the last three Oasis albums.

To each his own, I guess. Holy Mountain is an absolute tune for me, love it.

The album Dig Out Your Soul should have been. Throw in a couple of the great tracks from that album onto Noel, beef up the dull Sardy splurge with Holmes and you’ve got a third Oasis classic.
That said, the worst songs on Moon are way way better than the dad rock shite offered by Andy and Gem on that album (along with Liam’s Ain’t Got Muffins). Merely decent is the worst it gets for Noel on this album, while the worst off Dig Out Your Soul are truly horrendous.

Other than Beautiful World and Falling Down, I don't get any similarites between the two. DOYS is a harsh rock album with apocalyptic themes, WBTM is a joyous party album that makes you dance. This album to me is entirely and totally separate to Oasis, can't imagine any of the tunes being anywhere near that band.

Oh I definitely agree, when I say Moon should have been the album DOYS should have been, I’m thinking more in terms of what I wanted personally from that album, rather than what I ended up getting. That said, I think Holmes could have elaborated with soundscapes on a tune like Soldier On.

Theres more effort gone in to it than any oasis album since Whats the story. But i wouldnt class it above any Oasis album for a number of reasons.

Any NGHFB album and AYW can be considered the best thing since BHN due to the fact that the Oasis MK2 albums had letdowns scattered throughout.
Anything higher, aka even comparing them to the 90s albums... Well I won't stand with you if you want to fight that battle....
As for ranking, I have enough problems ranking the 4 Oasis MK2 albums. Depending on my mood, I can rank one of them 4th or one of them 7th (in the Oasis catalogue). Well maybe HC or DBTT would never be 4th, but those 4 move around all the time. I can't figure out which NGHFB album I like best, and AYW is incredible.
So here it is
1. WTSMG 2. DM 3. BHN . . . . . . . . . 13. DGSS 14. BE

I think the most worrying this is the amount of people saying Morning Glory is better than Definitely Maybe!
