This is the biggest grower for me. I love this song now. It reminds me of Travis with that warming jangle melody (Abit of Flowers In the Window, what do you think matt?) The lyrics are lovely as well. |

The lyrics are lovely as well. The verse melodies are fairly reminiscent of Fran Healy. I got a bit of a Coldplay vibe as well, like some of the stronger songs from Mylo Xyloto. It’s not a surprise - Noel, Fran Healy and Chris Martin are all incredibly gifted melodists so there’s always going to be a bit of crossover but Noel just has the ability to be a bit more direct and forceful, and they go straight to your heart. If Love Is The Law is no exception to this. |
