Now here's one of your (pretty rare) sensible posts. Keep 'em like this one please. Most of the time it just looks like you love winding people up and personally speaking I find that kind of behavior pretty annoying. The same applies to the self-righteous and pretentious tone of many of your posts, but hey, maybe it's just me. Reminds me of that bellend Rollinice Or Mr Milwaukee "XTRMNTR" or whatever his name is.

Funeral is a masterpiece (in my top 10 ever, with DM and WTSMG too) but c'mon, Rock'n'Roll Star a cheeseball song ? One of the best Oasis tracks ever, wonderful melody, everything is great about that track. It's almost as bad as Rockstar by Nickelback. Oh really, do get a fucking grip. Certified troll. Is this an alternate XCREMENT or Spud account?

Brian shuffled his pack of oblique strategies and pulled out a card. "OK Noel, remove specifics and convert to ambiguities." "You fookin' what?" More shuffling. "Uh. OK, let's try some disciplined self indulgence." "Can you speak in fookin' English please? This is like working with Gaz fookin' Cobain all over again!" "Oh for gods sake Noel, just play it faster." According to Chris Martin, Brian actually likes tracks to be slower and at the start of Strawberry Swing, you can hear him say "It's a bit fast, isn't it?". #tidbits That Eno saying that? For 9 years always presumed it was Chris Martin.

So is this song a pop song or rock song? It's a christmas song. Seriously. Maybe not in lyrics but most definitely in sound.

I think it's you that should get a grip if you can't handle a difference of opinion, snowflake. How do you get through life if you can't understand that not everyone shares the same opinions.

One of the best Oasis tracks ever, wonderful melody, everything is great about that track. It's almost as bad as Rockstar by Nickelback. But seriously, i do like the sentiment and message of Rock 'n' Roll Star, I just find it a bit cheesy and always have done. It's probably the worst track on DM for me along with Live Forever, that's even more cheesy. I'll take songs like Bring It On Down anyday. I actually don't mind Digsy's Dinner despite what i said earlier, it was more of a joke to suggest that a song talking about Lasagna couldn't possibly be better than anything on funeral but really Digsy's Dinner is a fairly inoffensive little tune and fun. You think Live Forever and Rock n Roll Star are the worst tracks on DM? And you rate Funeral higher? That is a very average album, at best. Wow! And I got stick for saying Holy Mountain was better than Supersonic. There's no wonder you don't like WBTM. Let's face it, you've got shite taste in music pal....

Beady’s Here Now merged your thread. there's no need for a new one I hope you're wrong though, I hate Arcade Fire, so overrated... Funeral is better than any album Oasis made.
They went downhill from there with each album though. At this point, they probably are overrated. Their last album was a bag of shit. Funeral though..what a masterpiece that is. lol okay mate... and I do like Arcade Fire, but Definitely Maybe is miles better than anything they've done. Anyway, ILITL. Not my favourite on the record, though I do like the poppy lightheartedness to it.

I'm sure many people find it laughable that some folk rate Definitely Maybe so highly too. There's no right or wrong, that's the beauty of music.

One of the few songs I like on the LP but it sounds like a half arsed demo.

Not my fav in the record, but today I woke up with the melody stuck in my head. The harmonica is great and the melody in the verses is fantastic. The chorus is a bit meh. But overall I like it very much

I quite like it. Not essential by any means but it's a lovely little tune that gets stuck in my head often!

I'm getting used to it but I was quite refractory to it at first as it reminded me of a style I absolutely despise like in this crappy song:

After listening to ILITL, and much of the rest of the album, I've decided I never want to listen to stuff drenched in reverb ever again...!! David Holmes needs his bloody reverbs taking away from him!!!! o.o
