I'm confused: I thought he was working with Holmes to make something in the future and then doing a touring band album in the short run. I assume the touring band thing turned into the 3 EPs, and now I'm hearing that Holmes was busy so he couldn't wait for him. So does that mean he started work with Holmes again but it is on hold now? Now he is building a studio and will make a record when it's done, presumably without Holmes?
What I really want is he and Damon Albarn to do a record.

I'm thinking we'll get a single release and vinyl preorder next week or the week thereafter. Surely he'll want this next EP out before Liam's album in late Sept? An EP can't compete with an LP. And given the 6-week turnaround time for EP1...

He hasn’t even started recording the next album so it’s a complete guess. He’s not going to start until his new studio is built. So very late 2020 at the absolute earliest I’d say. X |

I actually really like Rattling Rose. Been stuck in my head for the last week,
I like that it’s layered. I love how Noel sings the track. Love the bass line.
Easily the best song of the three songs from the EP. Lovely stuff.

I believe the single will be released next week (1~2nd August) or maximum on the other (8~9th August), considering the tour with Pumpkins beginning on 8th August.
Black Star Dancing was releaved on 7th May, the same date of the first UK gig this year at Edinburgh Playhouse.

Think we'll see a similar release schedule as to BSD. i.e. a teaser image/vid with a date, then the single drop a few days later. Or maybe they'll shock everyone and just drop it out of the blue (unlikely  ) |

I don't get people complaining about Noel's new direction. It's a guarantee that one day he will go back to his more traditional sound and this will be just a period in his career that gave it more variety in the long run. Anyway, only BSD was a change in direction on the EP, the other two could have easily been released on Chasing Yesterday. The negativity just stems from Noel bigging it up to be different too much and him justifying the "bad" reception on Oasis fans being Luddites.
Noel's at his best when it's just him and an acoustic but I'm glad he is spicing up his style a little bit for the meantime. Who doesn't like a good bass line?
