What song is 28:00 - 28:45 ? Probably a new song idea he's playing with. It kind of sounds like What a Life acoustic.

Really enjoyed seeing all of this documentary footage! I hope he does more of this for future records too...
Incidentally, I've finally compiled an alternate tracklist of Council Skies which flows much better for my own listening:
I'm Not Giving Up Tonight In A Little While* Dead To The World Open The Door, See What You Find Trying To Find A World That's Been And Gone (Part 1) Easy Now Don't Stop...** Flying On The Ground*** We're On Our Way Now*** Think Of A Number
* Demo from 'Magic Secrets (Part 2)' ** Full band version from 'CS' Deluxe Edition *** From 'Back The Way We Came Part 1'

yes the last part was much interesting. Not really liking the music they came up with, but the process is always nice to watch.
And it confirms more and more than this record could have had a really original sound, rather than being canned soup. Especially on Dead to The World (although the final product is good).
Noel has a way to completely dry out the life of the instruments on his releases lately.
Oh well.

Seeing him record guitar makes me wish he still trusted his skills more Exactly. Watching him messing around with the TOAN solo was so good. I mean, he still got it. I love Gem but God dammit Noel, give us some solos man

The 4th part was the best one. Loved the bit about face ID and watching him recording his guitar parts and vocals.
It would've been great to see some process about the actual songwriting. Instead they were following a very polished demo and adding a few bits. Still enjoyed it though.

Since there’s fuck all to do for another 3 years…Anyone got the chords / words for the new song in Part 4 (at 28:00)?
Looks like capo 3 and F, G, E, Am…, maybe?

They're pretty much the exact same chords to What A Life, just in a different order! Capo 4 First bit: Am to Dsus4 (with pull-off to D) - repeat 4 times and then on the 5th time stay on Am) Second bit: Fmaj7, G with the first finger still on the 2nd string (no idea what it's called sorry), Em7 (take your second finger off), Am. Pull off with your 2nd finger on the first repeat, take the whole chord off for the second repeat and then don't pull anything off for the 3rd and final repeat Then go back to Fmaj7, Em, G (open B string) Hope this helps! Last note: Noel's pretty flexible with this stuff so where you see Am/Em, you could quite easily play Am7/Em7 and knowing Noel this is probably exactly what he's doing. Switch it up as you wish! *edited to fix a mistake

Beated me to it! Yeah it's definitely capo 4 and those are the chords. Nice work! I'd play Am as Am7 (x02010) and Fmaj7 or whatever it's called as 103010 - it sounds closer to me.

You're probably right! The distinction between Am/Am7 is way too subtle for me to know for sure from that video alone but chances are he's playing Am7 - guess we're both pretty well-versed in Noelisms by now ha! As for that particular voicing of Fmaj7, interesting! It wouldn't have occurred to me to play it like that but it I'll give it a try and see how it sounds

By the way... we should give a name to that tune. Any suggestion?
