Sail on is quality, great tunes being released by the Chief. That tune is a proof that all the haters just have to shut up and accept Noel experimenting with new sounds, though I think it sounds the most "familiar" among all the songs on the new EP. What's the "experimental" part on sail on? |

I think the song would be better off just played on acoustic guitar with some piano or keybords of some kind. That banjo is a bit annoying.

Finally got around to listening to Sail On... nice tune.
It's been a good while since Noel's lyrics have inspired me to stop what I'm doing and just listen.

Listening to Sail On for the first time. It's a good song and I like it.

I never liked Chinatown. I don't like any of the remixes. I'm sure the other mods have things they don't like as well. like the times we didn't agree with things said on twitter or interviews. I guess you missed many previous posts we have opinions as much as any other fan, it's just we focus on the things we like rather than the ones we don't, trying to make this place enjoyable for everyone. we don't lose sleep if a song isn't good or a music video doesn't have too many views. it's not worth the hate some people spew |

What I meant is that you all don't bother in wasting your time discussing with (usually Liamists) people about which song is the better. And we the mortals should be graceful for that |

Sail On sounds like a leftover from Chasing Yesterday. Black Star Dancing a leftover from Who Built The Moon? Rattling Rose could be from CY or WBTM?.

No,he said he recorded them relatively recently in Abbey Road with the band,but with no producer. |

He said he wrote BSD and RR in studio this past November. Not sure on Sail On. Noel basically said he went into the studio last winter to see what happens. This is the results. |

Interesting reaction to Sail On. Personally think that it is a nice little tune, but no more than a throw away B Side. I think people are loving it all the more because it is slightly more 'traditional' compared to BSD.
Listen to that tune 3 years ago, and nobody would be bothered. Release it now and it is nostalgic.
Just proves that Noel is making a bit of a mistake with his new creative direction.
