Sorry, I’m sure this is common knowledge but I’ve missed it. I’ve heard ‘Don’t Stop…’ before; was it on Giants Demos? I think the general consensus was DBTT era last time I looked into it. That had never been officially confirmed though. It was first soundchecked in 2009 anyway.

I assume this was filmed when they were reharsing for the BBC but I'd love him to do some kind of live session of the album with the orchestra

I guess that this has been released now to give the album another push as the single was released weeks ago.

Love how all his back stage people are included in the video ie the guitar techs for Noel and gem (Mick? I don’t know the name of the other one, I’m guessing it’s the sound guy and Jill furmanovski makes an appearance.

Really enjoyed the album the first few listens but sorry to say got bored of it very quickly. Really lacks a couple of catchy, upbeat songs. We’re Gonna Get There In The End needed to be on there. Going Nowhere from Jools Holland needs to be a future b side or bonus track

Going Nowhere from Jools Holland needs to be a future b side or bonus track Yeah, listened to it continually for a good few weeks but now bored of it. Have narrowed the listening experience down to two songs: Council Skies and Think Of A Number, those still on regular rotation. The big surprise for me I fucking love Council Skies. Has made it into my Noel playlist. Addictive. All other songs I don't need to hear again for a long while. Whereas I still listen to plenty of songs from all his previous albums. As much as I support Noel doing his own thing and try to be the reasonable, sensible type about his evolving style, I can't help missing a decent guitar riff, an actual Noel solo, a solid rock number. Dunno if we're ever gonna hear one of those songs from Noel ever again but fuck me I miss it. When you watch him strumming those Oasis tunes on that pedal show it makes me miss it even more.

For me the new album is nice but only a few songs from ir are at his level. Clearly Think of a number is one of them. We’re gonna get there and Flying on the ground should have been kept for the album. Council skies is one of the best from the bunch. For me it’s a bit let down by Noel’s unnecessary shouting in the verses, but as a song it’s great.

To me it's his 2nd best album behind WBTM I love 5 of the songs, but I also find it extremely enjoyable as a whole, it flows really well

Unpopular opinion time, but Don't Stop has always been a dirge of a tune. The recorded version confirms that. Taken me 15 years to say it here, but its absolute bollocks!

Trying to Find a World That's Been and Gone is up there with The Masterplan to me. Donno if it's because I never listened to demos.

Best album to date for me. Could another human being write Dead to the World or Think of a Number?
No.
But most everything he does is life changing for me, so…

Me too. THINK OF A NUMBER and TRYING TO FIND A WORLD THAT'S BEEN AND GONE are the only two tracks from the album that really stand out to me.

The keepers for me are Think of a Number, Dead To the World and Trying to Find A World, although that one sits quite a bit below the other 2. The rest is just decent, kind of forgettable for me, sadly. All good, lots of other great music out there.

Now the dust has settled, I still think WBTM is his best solo album but CS comes second. The album has variety while being cohesive at the same time. Highlights for me are INGUT, DTW, Council Skies and Think of a Number, but this is his only album where I never skip any song

Same although most songs have grown on me, they haven't reached the point of the album tracks from his previous records. INGUT and Open the door are kind of meh although the latter is more catchy, Pretty Boy has a good atmosphere but kind of repetitive, TTFAWTBAG and Council Skies are pretty good, Easy Now is boring, There She Blows and Love is a Rich Man are the The Mexican of this record. DTTW and Think of a Number are amongst the best songs he's ever written.
