Noel might argue the charts are meaningless these days but the desperation of his management team the last couple of days proves his no1 streak meant something. It needs to be a wake up call for them. Ridiculous 6 months delays releasing an album, bad single choices, crap videos, little promotion, starting tour wrong place in the world etc. They need to improve. I thought he was a total dick about the whole thing tbh. Hawkins only said the comment and had the pic of them on his drum kit out of love for the band. It would be karma if the Foo Fighters get number one in my book. Noel quit Oasis because “the level of verbal and violent intimidation towards me, my family, friends and comrades has become intolerable”. I kinda understand why he doesn’t like people such as The Foos and Matt whatshisname sticking their nose into his personal business. It’s about much more than just the band reforming. You love Oasis Dave and Taylor? Great… so Noel and his family should put up with all that again just cos you like the band? Slight offtopic: Noel didn't write that last message for the fans, someone from the Oasis camp did it and Noel ok'd it. He didn't feel he had anything to say but their team insisted some sort of message. Noel told this some years ago in some interview (Moon or EP's era) and I was quite suprised this wasn't discussed in length in these forums. I try and find it. |

The US tour was the worst decision that was made. A Co-headline tour with a band most people wouldn’t know still exist half way around the world and no U.K. tv is a terrible way to promote an album. He should have been kicking off his UK tour this week! Garbage hits from the 90s still get plenty of airtime, at least in the US. In the US. That’s not going to help him in the U.K. charts is it? |

Gutting - but yet another GREAT Gallagher week: - Super NG album which has basically unified his fanbase after The Last Jedi of his last one - Some of the best NG interviews including perhaps the best one EVER (pedals) - NG Kingston announcement (I have a ticket!) - LG Knebworth live album announcement Couldn’t love it all more. If Liam’s Knebworth album gets to #1, does that count towards Noel’s total? He wrote more songs on it than are on latter day Oasis albums. Serious question! 🤓 |

Also generally: Never had any idea the Oasis/Liam/Noel fanbase has so many hardcore fans that show so much hatred towards other bands…I‘m not a strong Foos follower, but they do have great songs and play awesome live concerts catering to the fan base often with playing much more than 20 songs. I find it also a bit messed up how much hatred they get here for beating our beloved Noel.. |
