Noel might be a bit less conservative about putting out albums if he loses the streak! I feel like his usual response to disappointing results is to become MORE conservative. Fingers crossed that you're right on this one. |

How does this compare to week 1 sales of WBTM?
I'm concerned he'll think the #2 is due to the quality of CS rather than a reaction to the mixed bag that was WBTM.

WBTM did 77k but that was 6 years ago, sales are down anyway These are actually decent sales, which is why I think nothing will really change One week earlier or later and 39.6k get you to number 1 quite easily |

Rather, the fan reaction to WBTM was more mixed, maybe prompting more casual listeners to tune out of his release schedule a bit. God knows "Holy Mountain" alone had people swearing Noel would never see another hard-earned dime! |

- Super NG album which has basically unified his fanbase after The Last Jedi of his last one
- Some of the best NG interviews including perhaps the best one EVER (pedals)
- NG Kingston announcement (I have a ticket!)
- LG Knebworth live album announcement
Couldnât love it all more.

The charts don't exist outside of the forums for me, and I assume a lot of others, but it still is a bit of a shame considering what Noel's camp went through the last few days to try to get to #1.
I do wonder what will happen now. Probably not much but hopefully we'll get some more releases now that they don't have to go to #1 to keep a streak going.
I'd rather a good album without a #1 than the other way around though, and that's what we've got thankfully.

Well, I guess the 5 (yes, 5, I am not proud) different editions I bought made not difference in the end
BUT, I also guess this will not make Think of a Number and Dead to the World less heartbreaking. And it will not make INGUT, OTDSWF and CS less heartwarming.
