This is so far removed from the guy who wrote supersonic my big mouth etc it's as if noel wants to forget the oasis era of his career altogether and just give us this I can't decide whether I like this or not, my opinion on first listen is it's fuckin shite Yeah, imagine not changing as a human being in 25+ years, right? I've changed over 25 years like we all have and if noel wants to go in this direction then that's up to him, it just seems to me like he's ignoring what it is that makes him loved so much and what got him started, but then what do I know

When noel wrote little by little, or if i had a gun, or everybody's on the run, or dead in the water, did the world groan because he 'played it safe' and 'wrote the same stuff over and over'? More like it was celebrated as new expression of the same fucking genius. reminds me of the sad song quote: "don't throw it all away"I'm sure he'll be back one day. Course he'll be back. But for now this is so bad I have listened once, and that is enough. Those songs were not celebrated as expressions of genius! Rolling Stone: “ “Little by Little,” is the kind of earnest “Wind Beneath My Wings” crap even Bryan Adams would know to edit.” X It was a #2 single after all? I honestly think there's a big generational split within Noel's fans, and Noel is showing his age with his new musical direction. As bad as this is, it's still not as bad as Liam's fat kermit dora the explorer phase, so if Liam can make it back, so can Noel. To quote my little sister after showing her half of Black Star Dancing "let's just pretend this never happened" Waiting for that upcoming Arena Rock / Acoustic from Noel. He'll be back to normal soon

Rolling Stone: “ “Little by Little,” is the kind of earnest “Wind Beneath My Wings” crap even Bryan Adams would know to edit.” X But that's a magazine review? Idk, everybody I knew loved Little By Little, including all the kids who didn't like Rock and Roll. It was number 1 after all? I honestly think there's a big generational split within Noel's fans, and Noel is showing his age with his new musical direction. With each Noel release my suspicion that The Real People basically wrote much of the first three albums becomes stronger. If he is such a genius, why do each of his albums become weaker. The only one that flies in the face of that is the first half of DOYS. And Little by Little is nice, but cheesy - I love it but it’s fromage. People dig at the production of the later Oasis albums, but it’s about songs. And to me that is Noel’s bigger issue. Of coarse people will fight this all day long. But Noel had a magic moment. Now he is writing boring songs.

To get real for a second, I think the part of Noel that wrote magic songs, was the part of him that was a fractured, tortured, loner with no possessions and only hope, soul and sadness. I think as he's become a happier and more balanced human, his songs have become boring. And if that's true, I can't really scorn him for that

Graham Bonnet - Warm Ride Fair. Makes sense. And it’s good for Noel the man. Not good for Noel’s fans.

New Noel single. Shall we ask him anything about it? Who produced it? When’s the album out? What will it sound like? Any track names? Guest musicians? Nah let’s talk about football. Throwaway comment at the end there, but interesting to hear him say again he’d like Norman cook to do a remix for him. That man has done some amazing remixes. X

Good on him for finding happiness. good on Noel for sure. but equally i think good on liam for taking the alternative route, despite his surface level arrogance, it's clear that Liam's still very humble to his working class roots and stays emotionally connected to the sense of passion and anger and hurt he knows he shares with a lot of everyday people. It's a connection I think noel has not only succesfully graduated from (well done), but unfortunately, has forgotten about too. I think that's why there was such a heated exchange when Noel didn't arrive for OneLove concert. That was big.

The EP is probably just WBTM leftovers so I didn't have that high expectations to begin with. I certainly don't mind the song but I doubt I'll play it much. It did sound better than Holy Mountain though but that was my least favourite song from WBTM anyway. We dont know that. the production feels way different than WBTM which was very sharp and smart. This sound vastly different. I would say it's not part of Holmes produced songs. Could be wrong but that does not fit, or Noel worked on very rough takes that Holmes did not finish. if Jess is on it it is likely not a Holmes leftover. I'm starting to think this is a touring band EP and probably won't be a full touring band album

I'm starting to think this is a touring band EP and probably won't be a full touring band album It’s been confirmed Noel is sole producer of the Black Star Dancing track so it doesn’t look like a Holmes / WBTM leftover. His social media posts explicitly referred to an album, so this EP could still be promo for a future album. Even though it’s an EP it still has fewer songs than Oasis’s singles did! X

X Yeah it sounds like a very rough produced track. There's no real depth to it. Not Holmes at all. The solo mainly, which sounds like a crazy Guns and Roses outtake from 92. as for the black Astra dancing, here it is !
