Beautiful. One of Noel's best songs since going solo. Did a cover of it if anyone's interested.

This song is the best. Up there with his classics....It reminds me of why I fell in love with him in the first place.

I love Shout It Out Loud What chords we looking at for this? Seen in the other thread a few suggestions. Is it in Em, then a Cadd9 and G, with the little Dsus thing that Noel likes to chuck in every now and then? There's definitely a run down as well, though I'm not going to say my ear is good enough to pick up on the exact chords. Guessing Capo 3rd fret, as that's what he used it on during that session and Noel is genuinely so lazy I doubt he even bothered moving it. When I'm playing I normally just stumble on certain melodies that I'll then realise are actually songs - if you get me. Mucky Fingers, Shock Of The Lightning - I figured both of those out that way. Trying to do it this way more as opposed to watching vids etc.
I don't have any instruments around me, but just by listening to the song:
Capo 3rd fret
Verse: Cadd9 - Em7 - Dsus4 - Cadd9 - Em7 - D - Cadd9 - G - Em7 - Dsus4 - Cadd9 - Em7 - Dsus4
Chorus: Cadd9 - G - Em7 - Dsus4 - Cadd9 - Dsus4 - Em7 - Dsus4 - Cadd9 - Em7 - Dsus4 - Cadd9 - Em7 - Dsus4
(In the second verse, he adds a G: Cadd9 - G - Em7 - Dsus4 instead of Cadd9 - Em7 - Dsus4).
etc. (you get the idea)
Thanks mate, I'll definitely give it a try when I'Ve got time

Bonus tracks getting videos before the actual singles.

An absolute stunner. I was skeptical--that this would be a sub-Dying of The Light rehash (don't think Dying of the Light is anything more than a pretty good song). But it is beautiful. Seems wasted as a live take bonus track, but let's face it, Noel probably would have botched this in the studio somehow. I think it's perfect as it is. He didn't know he was being recorded, sp there's no artifice, he was essentially singing for himself, and it shows. Probably his rawest, most affecting vocal ever, including the Oasis years.

Probably his rawest, most affecting vocal ever, including the Oasis years. Reminds me of why people liked that soundcheck version of If I Had A Gun so much. A stripped down version, and a carefree vocal.

Beautiful. One of Noel's best songs since going solo. Did a cover of it if anyone's interested. I'd seriously take this version over the original. Prefer your vocal control/more subdued vocal. The song sounds much better the way you do it, i think it serves the melodies much better. One of my gripes with Noel's vocals is that his dynamics are all over the place, especially on live acoustic songs. Usually I like dynamic singers but Noel can get a bit too piercing for me at times. He's like the singing version of Al Pacino, it's either a whisper or very loud and not much in between. He was never always that way, if you go back to unplugged, his vocals weren't that way. He might be a better singer now, but i don't think it necessarily means he sounds better. Some people might like Noel singing that way, the emotion, but it gets too shrill for me. Anyway, good job, enjoyed it more than i've enjoyed the album version.

When Noel sings the promise land, it reminds me of Neil Young so so much

Is it possible to cut out Noel's explanation of how the song came about on the virgin radio interview posted on the first page of the thread. Adding that clip to the beginning of the song would be great.

Thank god he didn't say "let the storm rage on" as people would be going bananas about it sounding like frozen...lol!
