Insult the people who buy the records, you'll get a reaction. I sorely wish people would stop acting like having an opinion is some sort of hysterical breakdown. It's so disingenuous. "People who don't like my new music are monkeys" "Piss off, you absolute twat" "I'm just sitting here calmly insulting your intelligence and you have the gall to take offense. What are you, some kind of animal?" It's ridiculous and transparent. Faux reasonableness stops being believable past age 14 or so. Find it hilarious how personal people take what Noel said. This entire thread is hilarious. Noel has really got to the ‘Liam only’ fans. People are now so desperate to insult Noel we've got people slagging off the writing of some of Oasis' most classic songs. On an Oasis forum. I assume these people genuinely wish Liam had never brought Noel into the band such is their hate for him and how he ruined the band's 'authenticity'. |

If that's actually how you define yourself you probably deserve insulting to be honest. Note Noel said the parka monkeys don't get it. He didn't say if you don't like it you're a parka monkey. Pointing out that Noel both had uncredited help and outright nicked key bits of Oasis' catalog isn't slagging off the writing, it's slagging off his hypocrisy in now complaining about co-written albums as some sort of failed litmus test for authenticity as an artist. |

I loved Noel’s interview, found it funny, what he said about Liam isn’t wrong, think a lot of people aren’t keen on AYW & don’t find it interesting, and what he said about it getting personal is absolutely correct, if I was Noel I wouldn’t have anything to do with Liam either. |
