You have to wonder how much of this album is Noel, and how much is Holmes. Everyone is criticising Liam's album because he didn't write much of it, but this may be the case for Noel's album too. Yes I thought that too, seems that they've both collaborated heavily. It may actually be the case that Liam's album contains more self-written material than Noel's. Personally I don't care that much, Doesn't Have To Be That Way is a much better song than Holy Mountain at doing the job Noel wanted ( must be one of the biggest failures of his career), I'd rather Liam went into the next album with as few of his own songs as possible, just a few ideas that get fleshed out by the likes of Wyatt and Kurstin. Not dissimilar to Noel on this record. Wait........what? Let's put that into context.

The 40 seconds of this clip are definitely my favorite part of the song. Fantastic stuff, I totally love the mood of it.

Go let it out,gas panic, roll it over, stop crying your heart out, lyla, falling down ..just to name a few!! HM pisses all over those songs. I'm not a massive fan of Oasis Mk2 anyway. Typically don’t tell people they’re bonkers when discussing music/art, but you’re a fucking lunatic.

As previously stated, not a fan of this. Not impressed with either tune whatsoever. Still hold out hope for some great tunes for the rest of the album. But the hope is diminishing slowly somewhat.

Just commercially, and the response it's got, plus personally I fucking hate it, HM must be a low point for him. Anyway it's been done to death, Fort Knox is much much better.

Read a few comments describing how there isn't much going on with the track. Can't help but disagree. Slap some good headphones on, after 10 listens I keep hearing new lines of guitar or layered vocals interacting, it's heavenly.
I don't think this will be many people's favourite off the album, it is meant as an intro after all. But what an intro.
People. YOU GOTTA GET YOURSELF TOGETHER

Get the feeling that once we hear the whole album, it will really put Fort Knox into perspective. I bet End Credits will tie everything off nicely.

No doubt that Holmes is the driving force behind it, but hell would freeze before Noel gave away writing credits. Probably paid a set fee to Holmes. You have to wonder how much of this album is Noel, and how much is Holmes. Everyone is criticising Liam's album because he didn't write much of it, but this may be the case for Noel's album too. I'm running out of "this comment" guys please help me i can't control every posts he does!!

I think Noel has this in him tbh, chemical bro’s, AA, Prodigy, and numerous others have been collaborators, this is clearly in him but requires an expert at the helm to maintain integrity. Noel has been pushed and directed by Holmes, Noel Said as much when he spoke of Holmes making him come out of his comfort zone with melodies and lyrics.

Anyway, its boring as fuck. Like Swamp Song. I much prefer Holy Mountain which has grown on me alot.

I haven't really been keeping up with the news about this album, is this song an instrumental? Quite like what I heard from that clip, a lot more than Holy Mountain anyway.
Sounds like it would make a great opener/walk on tune.

HM pisses all over those songs. I'm not a massive fan of Oasis Mk2 anyway. HM is in the bottom end of Gallagher singles for me. If Gallagher singles were the Premier League, HM would be Stoke: Entertaining, dependable, just not quite up there with the real heavy hitters.

Hang on, are we going to base the quality of this album just on Noel being "different" & "experimental"? That's too easy.
There's nothing in these 2 tracks that suggest anything other than just messing around in a studio, throwing sounds together & hoping a song will suddenly materialise. It's like their manifesto was "it needs to be different, let's not worry about if there's an actual song here or not!"
And which genius in the studio thought an alarm bell would be anything other than fcking irritating?

Noel's past "electro" collabs (no remixes) credits Chem Bros: Setting Sun: Noel Gallagher, Tom Rowlands, Ed Simons Let Forever Be: Tom Rowlands Ed Simons Noel Gallagher The Prodigy: Shoot Down: Liam Howlett, Neil McLellan AA: Shoot a Hole Into the Sun: Noel Gallagher, Garry Cobain, Brian Dougans Now compare this to: Fort Knox: Noel Gallagher How likely is it that Noel was the sole writer/composer vs. Steve Holmes signed a contract that gives Noel all the credits.
