US store has always had the times for Fort Knox, Holy Mountain and It's a Beautiful World. I think the UK store just added the Fort Knox time? My guess has been that Fort Knox could get used as a "bonus" track for It's a Beautiful World, on a physical release, along with a remix or something. |

Noel better not botch this beautiful world release. It’s gotta be Friday 11/3. Get it on the radio, youtube, Spotify all on the same day, same time. If you want it to chart well that’s how it’s done. This half week nonsense with no video or Spotify action is only going in with half hearted.

Noel better not botch this beautiful world release. It’s gotta be Friday 11/3. Get it on the radio, youtube, Spotify all on the same day, same time. If you want it to chart well that’s how it’s done. This half week nonsense with no video or Spotify action is only going in with half hearted. Noel could do that and release his best song in 20 years and it still wouldn't sniff the top 10. Singles charts are for kids. Getting the track out there and exposed is the main thing. |

I edited the title to avoid confusion. I remember when the album appeared on itunes they had the times for HM, Fort Know and Beautiful World. I posted a capture in the album hype thread

Anyway let's hope that he releases a good single that makes everyone agree this time, not a second holy Mountain, but the previews were good so i guess therz isnt too much to worry about.

Seriously, Noel could be even bigger today with some smart moves on these topics. Wonder if he's really happy with that or simply wants to be surrounded by the same people. Especially after Liam being ready for own outdoor gigs just after a few months and one album out. They had literally nothing to do apart from putting on Noels name for his debut but just thinking about the CY build up by announcing it like 6 months before the release and putting out singles after it's been out. Come on guys... it's 2017. |

Come on guys... it's 2017. I went over my views on this in the Finsbury thread, but it's been a perfect storm for Liam. He's come back when 'the kids' who are into guitar music will almost instantly cite Oasis as their favourite band (whether they're hard core fans or just casual). Supersonic put them right back in the public eye and have shown said 'kids' just how bloody big Oasis were. Liam has been marketed well and also benefited from simply being himself. Again, a true rock star spouting bollocks and being a funny fucker just isn't something young music fans have had in the last five years or so. In short, the hype for Oasis is bigger now than at any point in the last 10, or maybe even more, years (probably since their triumphant return to form with the DBTT tour). Liam's being a big part of that and is reaping the rewards. But, he's an icon. Noel is a great, but I don't think he'll ever be a 'rock star icon' like Liam. He'd openly admit that. He's happy where he is right now and I don't think this album has been marketed poorly at all. It was announced four weeks ago, the single came out two weeks later and the album is out quickly after. He's not going to be any 'bigger' than he is now. He is where he is. Same goes for Liam. Let's just enjoy it instead of picking holes in it. |
