Just listened to it, wtf? Why didnt like 50 of the comments i read before listening to it say its basically just a fucking instrumental? Anyway, its boring as fuck. Like Swamp Song. I much prefer Holy Mountain which has grown on me alot. Watch your mouth, Swamp Song is fucking great!

If Fort Knox is wrong, I don't wanna be right. It's just a fun song that deserves to be blasted at the highest possible volume. I'm blasting it on studio monitors and god it's immense.

And I love the alarm. Like a droning in-your-face call saying "WAKE UP MOTHERFUCKERS!".

And I love the alarm. Like a big in-your-face drone saying "WAKE UP MOTHERFUCKERS!". "The woman singing annoys me", "the alarm is too loud", "it's only an instrumental", "David holmes wrote it", "there's no melody" 🙄🙄

So I'm hearing:
Massive Attack DJ Shadow Kanye West Radiohead Pink Floyd
...Fucking RIGHT up my street. Can't tell you how much I love that woman's vocalising at the two-minute mark. Perfect.

Twitter folk really want more Sardy mixed wonderwall chord-heavy Noel ballads. A lot of parka monkeys around. Blaming the paying public for not "getting it"? That's a bold move, Cotton. Let's see if it pays off for him.

Really hope to lose my virginity while listening to Fort Knox... Thanks. I'm in if you are.

I love this. This is what I hoped the record would be. Should have been first instead of the dreadful Holy Mountain.

I am no longer drunk and I still love it, so that means something. What a class album opener. I think WBTM? is gonna be the closest to SOTSOG as a Gallagher will get!

It's just getting better after every listen. Hats off to David Holmes. Did a great job on this one.

I do love it, but half of me wishes they'd have held it back and left it until the album was out.

Twitter folk really want more Sardy mixed wonderwall chord-heavy Noel ballads. They fucking have those! They can stay on them can they not? I suggest that we all stop reacting to this stuff. People are entitled to their opinions but it’s not for us to police the reviews, I’ve said it’s a game of opinions, it’s art isn’t it.... one mans masterpiece is another mans chip paper.

It's an amazing tune, and as someone said, it gives a vibe of "tension" which I love. When was the last time a Noel song was angry and tense? I mean I love everything he has done, but this is amazing also

I can't stop listening. What a tune. Hopefully the rest of the album has a similar vibe.

I love it. It's more on the side of an instrumental than conventional song but it has great energy and grabbed me on the first listen. Funnily enough it feels like it would be fitting for a film soundtrack which makes sense considering Holmes has a lot of film experience. This album is going to be really fascinating, but I do think the chance of mainstream listeners liking this new direction is pretty slim.

Is anyone else hearing Noel singing 'I keep my head up, holding on'?

Is anyone else hearing Noel singing 'I keep my head up, holding on'? I think he sings that, and then "Gotta get yourself together" towards the end. By the way, the song is now available to download from Noel Gallagher's website under My Account > Downloads. If you bought the album from there that is.

Twitter folk really want more Sardy mixed wonderwall chord-heavy Noel ballads. Twitter in 2011: "This is the same ole' boring Noel" Twitter in 2017: "How dare Noel experiment!" The problem is, just doing something different doesn't excuse you from criticism. Yes, it's not the same old thing but it was really well done?
