Noel about the singer: "She started to do this afrobeat thing on it" Someone needs to play Noel some afrobeat before he embarrasses himself by repeating that in interviews. He obviously knows diddly about African music. Give him a break, he's a privileged white male.

Fort Knox would slot in nicely somewhere on DOYS....perhaps taking the place of GOYHH, bleeding into Falling Down.

Could some kind soul at some point in the future edit the FUCKING BELL out for me please? I really like it minus the bell.

The more i liaten to it, the more badass it sounds. Just walking around listening to it makes me feel like I'm in a trailer for some new sci-fi thriller. Getting up from my sofa, heading for the fridge to get some Coke, I felt like I was on a mission to save humanity.

I LOVED the story about how the musicians had to kneel in front of Noel before entering the studio. The Chief is back. X

I've just listened to Fort Knox and Holy Mountain back to back as they will be in the album sequence, and I cannot believe I am listening to a Gallagher album.
It's absolutely crazy, bonkers, colourful, loud, bold, adrenaline fuelled mayhem.
It's remarkably different to anything he has ever done. Yet, comfortingly, the madness and bravado that typified the younger Noel is back in a different form. The body and looks have changed, but the spirit is back. A bit like Doctor Who.

David Holmes is really cool isn't he? It's so great to see and hear Noel finally work with a proper, revered musician for the first time in his career.

The afrobeat influence is pretty unconventional for Westernised pop music, like something Mike Oldfield would do. Of course, a lot of electronic or psychedelic acts do it, but none as mainstream as Noel.
Audrey Gbaguidi really adds a lot of flair to it with her vocals. Really really cool move from Noel and David.

I thought it was excellent after the first listen but it's grown on me even more.
I still think you could chop off at least 20 seconds somewhere between the 1:00 mark and 1:40. The part that comes right after is fucking amazing: that descending bass-line and those vocals, man, that's so good.
The doorbell doesn't annoy me to be honest. There's so much happening in this song that I barely notice it.

what is fort knox anyway? Is it something he made up or a real place like Teotihuacan? just curious lol It's where the US keeps a decent amount of its gold. yeah - as in, Noel won't be re-forming Oasis for all the gold in Fort Knox. See what I did there?

On a side note, this translation is farcical. It doesn't even make sense in Italian. They misspelt "tu"="you" ("u") and "trovare"="find" ("rovare"), but "devi farti trovare insieme" (litterally "you gotta get yourself together") doesn't mean anything. There are other way of saying this in Italian, like "devi rimetterti in sesto". This is just appalling, coming from an official source. ahahah I came here to say the same thing. At first i thought that wasn't italian but something like romanian lol I wonder how they came out with that phrase, not even google translate is that bad. I'm pretty sure it's not hard to find italians in London that can translate it correctly. I can't believe they made such a ridiculous mistake on an official video tbf. Haha really ? Lazy bastards.

I think it's pretty nice to hear a NG song with some interesting drums again. The last one I liked for that was probably Bag It Up!
