Soutenez-moi, parce que personne ne sait que le futur? Errmm, qu’est-ce que c’est now? It's shattering, for 6 long years I've been taught the french language in school, it's been 10 years since I graduated, and I'm actually struggling to spell the word qui correctly.

Well for starters you assumed wrong. I find it funny people have been commenting on my likes. This isn’t Yelp. I have liked this post. Expect an essay soon on why. I liked this post because it made me laugh. That is all. Is that ok?

I assumed all of it as a like doesn't specify, unless you state otherwise no one else is to know. Maybe quote and agree with the bit you want next time. Well for starters you assumed wrong. I find it funny people have been commenting on my likes. This isn’t Yelp. I didn't, you liked his post and didn't specify. A like as they currently are covers the lot. I don't have my crystal ball currently.

A like as they currently are covers the lot. I don't have my crystal ball currently. So if you aren’t sure and are going to just assume and call me out in a post falsely maybe the best course is to remain silent on that specific topic. The way I view likes is they are meant as feedback to the poster. Not for other readers to interpret meaning. As you can see you assumed wrong. Not a good look for you. I wasn’t aware that when you “like” something you gotta post what you specifically “like” so other memebers don’t get their panties in a bunch.

There are mirrors of this thought on both sides. Now you have quite a few popping up in many Noel threads saying his career is stumbling based on his first 2 week sales which is funny. Many of those posters also said the same thing about Holy Mountain and its still chugging along in week 9. I mean, even if Noel was bombing on the scale of BE, he'd still have very favourable critical reaction on his side. Low sales only look terrible when the music is terrible. As Beady Eye was. It's good music we're all after, and Noel has knocked it out the park with regards to this - best reaction to a Gallagher album since Morning Glory. I heartily endorse this post.

The shifting goalposts and mental gymnastics used to excuse Noel's record have been quite entertaining lately. If that record bombs (well it didn't) it means lesser so-called fans at Noel's gigs, so it's gonna be a way, way better night. Chasing Yesterday tour was kinda annoying because of that. To the people who think Noel is bombing: Have fun with Twitter fans at Liam's gigs. It's gonna be epic OMG LIKE RETWEET. Good times. So fewer tickets sold means it's actually a good thing? Also, you do realize that the majority of people that will go to a Noel gig will also go to a Liam gig? Chart success is only the result of that. Then you have the sales from the fanbase, and that's exactly what Noel is getting today. He's only trying to reach his fanbase nowadays, because in the end, those are the people who buy tickets, where the money is. No he's not. In most of his interviews prior to the album release Noel has been going on about how the old Oasis fanbase probably wouldn't like the record. He has clearly been trying to go after a new crowd but by sales it looks like it didn't work too well.

I think a lot of Liam's success this time around is due to what made Noel's first solo album a success, and that's the fact that people want to see what a "Liam solo album" is all about. It's news worthy, people are paying attention. His album is also easier to digest for a casual listener. All that being said, neither album is doing bad. Also, neither album is taking the world by storm. We're all talking about how great Liam is doing this time around, but in comparison to true SUCCESS, its just not there. As you Were is not like Adele's "21", not like Green Day's "American Idiot," or better yet like Oasis's "What's the Story (Morning Glory?) You are right about the success, but you have to temper it with the fact we are talking about 45 and 50 year old artists .........not many global stars maintain sales to that age .....for Liam to possibly end in the top 10 year end is an amazing achievement! It is, without a doubt. To me it speaks of the success of Oasis as legends at this point. People are still paying attention to the Gallaghers after all these years.

The only thing struggling are people refusing to accept reality.

Best reaction to a Gallagher album since Be Here Now (which won universal acclaim when it was released.) MG didn't receive very good reviews when it was first released.

That's just my attempt to translate the chorus of Stand by Me into French. Literally, it means "Support me, because no one knows the future".

Why are you overreacting over an album that debuted at #1 and hasn't even been out for 2 weeks? People need enemies. There is not other enemies left in music, so Noel has become one to people who liked Liam first. Also it must be frustrating to some to not get that new record. It's like not being invited to the party of the year. Awa you go eh. HBTM is a decent album, but you are acting like it's the next Revolver or something. It's just Noel doing what he does well, nothing more, nothing less.
