Wow this is cheap and really really bad never claimed it was quality music, just remembered it existed. Tbf I was pretty wasted anytime I heard it, which was often. 😆

U2 are down to #3 And will struggle to remain top 5 the way things are heading.
They've had a disaster and the stocking filler albums are flying past them. Ed Sheerans album that's almost a year old has even gone ahead of them.

As long as Noel doesn't make (insert album name here) themed tour, he will be fine.

This, whose fan base has had it worse or what fans deserve it is childish.
It's the equivalent of he hit me first.

There are no winners or losers in this thread. Except Celine... she's a winner. X 20 years since The Gallaghers can't touch her. And i hope they won't With over 15 million physical singles sold, it is the 10th best-selling record of all time. And she recorded it in one take. What a legend. X

While making a point its better not to present your opinion as fact when discussing a subjective thing such as music. There wasn't legions but there was quite a few. It wasn't a dream. There are mirrors of this thought on both sides. Now you have quite a few popping up in many Noel threads saying his career is stumbling based on his first 2 week sales which is funny. Many of those posters also said the same thing about Holy Mountain and its still chugging along in week 9. I mean, even if Noel was bombing on the scale of BE, he'd still have very favourable critical reaction on his side. Low sales only look terrible when the music is terrible. As Beady Eye was. It's good music we're all after, and Noel has knocked it out the park with regards to this - best reaction to a Gallagher album since Morning Glory.

What a legend. X Even more impressive is that English isn't her first language and she was able to sing with that much passion. I've yet to see Liam or Noel belt out a tune dripping with that kind of emotion in French.

I’m a Taylor Swift guy living in a Noel Gallagher world. Wait, I think I have that backwards.

Do me a fucking favour. I really like it, but lets not pretend thats vindication. In fact wasn't Morning Glory reviews very mixed? It was only because it went on to sell so many and was undeniably brilliant that many went back and "re-reviewed" it.

You definitely assumed the first part. But it was actually the latter. I kinda feel honored. So many people comment on what I like On The forum. Too much assumption goes along with that.

The shifting goalposts and mental gymnastics used to excuse Noel's record have been quite entertaining lately. If that record bombs (well it didn't) it means lesser so-called fans at Noel's gigs, so it's gonna be a way, way better night. Chasing Yesterday tour was kinda annoying because of that. To the people who think Noel is bombing: Have fun with Twitter fans at Liam's gigs. It's gonna be epic OMG LIKE RETWEET. Good times. So fewer tickets sold means it's actually a good thing? Also, you do realize that the majority of people that will go to a Noel gig will also go to a Liam gig? Chart success is only the result of that. Then you have the sales from the fanbase, and that's exactly what Noel is getting today. He's only trying to reach his fanbase nowadays, because in the end, those are the people who buy tickets, where the money is. No he's not. In most of his interviews prior to the album release Noel has been going on about how the old Oasis fanbase probably wouldn't like the record. He has clearly been trying to go after a new crowd but by sales it looks like it didn't work too well.
