#39 in USA with 14k sales + streaming from which 13k were sales Liam was #30 with 15k so probably the same people bought both I find it mind blowing that in a country with a population over 320 million, you can break the top 30 with 15k sales. X I’m with you. People just don’t care about owning music.

We're a loyal bunch. One big reason is cause spit on the stage at the MTV awards. The next day everybody hated him. I remember it was big news. Didn’t bother me.

Not hard to break America, now. You just have to sell your soul and do a couple of high profile collaborations, which usually leads to high profile kind of hits

I haven't seen Noel's album anywhere in the US. Liam's was on sale in Barnes and Noble.

Beady eye was a mistake. Liam solo carreer so far it has had it's trouble, but has been a steady ride. Noel's solo carreer has been great, but with the sudden rise of his brother and his attitude toward fans he's starting to lose momentum, and that's natural you can't always be on top of the world, it has been almost unnatural how Noel has had 10 #1 albums with Oasis and HFB. Noel will be fine. WBTM will have a long tail once people get used to the sound he was going for. Even Pet Sounds was initially unappreciated by people who expected classic Beach Boys and didn't know what to make of it. I'm just enjoying Liam coming out flying and outselling him, given how much Noel made fun of Beady Eye. I'm not sure most of the public these days have patience or care enough to "get used" to an artists new direction. I don't think anyone really cares enough about Noel's sound apart from dedicated fans who buy everything he does. He isn't that relevant now. Pet Sounds was an album made by a young band in their prime and it was a change of direction. Not to mention it was quite a bit different to anything about at the time. Obviously it had some obvious influences like Spector but for a modern day pop group, it was very different and groundbreaking and influential. People always compare Pet Sounds & Sgt Pepper, but Pet Sounds was released even before Revolver, never mind Sgt Pepper. Noel's album won't be influencing anybody and certainly nothing groundbreaking. It's just different for Noel, but in general it's things that have all been done before. So i don't think it's really going to have legs. It'll be out of the charts in a few weeks and the only people still listening to it in a few months will be the usual old fans. I don't think people care about getting used to it now. They either think it's good or bad. Ultimately it won't effect Noel's career anyway. He's just at that age and on that cycle of releasing an album then touring it. He'll always sell out gigs on the back of 95% of the audience mostly wanting to hear Don't Look Back In Anger et al...

The Beatles are my all time favourite band, but I think Pet Sounds is superior to Sgt. Pepper. That's a different discussion though.

Pepper is one of my least favourite Beatles albums but I appreciate being there at the time of release, it must have been quite mind blowing to hear. It must have been a totally different experience hearing it at the time than it was hearing it for the first time years after release when we'd already been exposed to a lot of different music. Personally i'll take Revolver any day over Sgt. Pepper and Pet Sounds but yeah, a different discussion

At this point in his life, if he puts a record out or goes on tour, it's something he feels like doing for the Hell of it. Or to tweak Liam's nose.

It's really underperforming outside UK Ireland - 2 - shocking! Australia - 18 Sweden - 50 Italy - 12 Germany - 17 Belgium Flanders - 17 Belgium Wallonia - 21 New Zealand - out top 40 He’s always normally good for a #1 in Ireland big surprise. Christy Moore has a live collection of his most popular songs out and as someone said it's the Christmas season.
