It's a Beautiful World at #80. Release the damn video NOWWW!!! So bizarre. Noel and his team still don’t know how to properly roll out material in 2017.

Very good numbers. And this also means the tour will sell well because they show the NG fanbase is alive and well, thank you very much.
Sour Mash employees (hi there!) and Le Riviera barmans can rest assured: Noel will maintain his spending power a couple years more.
And we maybe, only maybe, will get another masterpiece as WBTM

It's a Beautiful World at #80. Release the damn video NOWWW!!! This has to be a mistake. Very strange. Dead in the water was at#65 in the updates and now is not even on top 100. It's a beautiful world wasn't even in the updates. And on itunes and spotify Dead in the water has been charting higher during the week....

So just to confirm - 1.As You Were 2.Who Built The Moon Shouldnt you compare it first album vs first album? Third album vs third album? Shouldn’t we also wait to see the numbers years from now? Like the Holy Mountain lesson. People kept saying it bombed and here it is, 2 months later in the low 30s. Noel’s 2nd biggest solo hit. *dreams of that tune getting a proper release and promotion*

Im not saying i wanted it as Oasis. But Liam touring with the remaining members and maybe bonehead would have been no different to what hes doing now. Couldn’t disagree more. This project is under his own name. That means more to people than the Beady Eye moniker. People can get behind the idea of LIAM GALLAGHER the solo artist. People had a hard time getting behind the idea of Beady Eye basically being Oasis without Noel. A band without a legendary songwriter. Tough task. Stacked odds. The other factor is the songs and music is better this time around for Liam. Bringing in outside songwriters for help was the smart and right thing to do. I posted years ago I wanted Liam to do this back in 2009. Like Robbie Williams. Huge star, brand and frontman. I don’t fully expect him to always to be able to craft good tunes but I certainly want him to sing them. Warner Brothers stepped up, got Liam the potential tools for success and the outcome was rewarding. That wasn’t gonna happen with LAG no matter how hard they tried under the Oasis banner or Beady Eye. I meant as Liam Gallagher. Having another name was obviously a killer. Noel Gallagher under the name The High Flying Bird with no Oasis songs would have performed almost identically. The brand needs to be at the forefront.

These guys can’t be in another band after Oasis. What’s the point. They are stars. They are brands. Let them shine like Dirk Diggler.

It's a Beautiful World at #80. Release the damn video NOWWW!!! Remember how the runaway success of Wonderwall delayed the release of Dont Look Back in Anger? That's what's happened here. HM has burnt its way up the charts, searing through the competition, sitting proudly in the 30s, thus requiring the BW video to be held back. X

X I think this is the perfect time to release the video on the back of the charts success. Plus, I, rather we have been waiting for it for far too long.

It doesn't count because it's not the same act. Imagine how many #1 albums someone like Paul McCartney has The record is for consecutive number ones. The Beatles didn't get to no1 with Yellow Submarine and Wings didn't always make it to the top either. Two in a row is Paul's record after the Beatles.

They're very specific with his record: it's a consecutive streak of 10 "studio" albums "since debut". The Masterplan, Familiar To Millions & Stop The Clocks all break the streak. And I'm sure other artists have streaked with 10, just not necessarily from their first album. Still very impressive of course. X

Alex Turner will have 8 in 13 years when Arctic Monkeys release their new album next year so I'd imagine he'll surpass Noel in the not too distant future

Really happy about the numbers for WBTM. Without much promotion, these are fantastic sales numbers for Noel. What a great year!
By the way, updated the numbers for all 3 Noel releases on page 1.

That is not the overall Japanese charts, right? I believe he's #1 among international artists.

I assume Jay-Z's record is American rather than UK? Or he had some best of compilations in there? Or his first album wasn't number 1. Impressive feats from both of them though! X
