Good melody, like the arrangement and the most energetic track since TSOTL.
For me the Gallaghers don't get better than in the high tempo wall of sound. 9/10.

7/10 for me.
The energy is amazing, the wall or sound, the colored instrumentation and variation. The bass licks sounds great, the drums sound massive. The horns and the whistle are infectious.
The only thing I would fix is the mastering. This should be just a little bit more dynamically diverse.

Was expecting something more like Let The Lord Shine a Light On Me with that kind of title. First listen I wasn't sure but listening with the lyrics it sounds better.

I give it a 6.5, maybe a 7? I find putting numbers on this kinda thing tough.
My reasoning
- This is a lot of fun. Like tons of fun. Fun for us and fun for Noel. Will be a highlight live - The melody, while nothing incredible, is very infectious and joyous - All the moving parts have their catchyness and charm on their own, then work really well together
- I will say, I still find it almost a minute too long. I have to admit because there is little change throughout, it gets a little bit repetitive and stale by the last minute - Noel's vocal is fine, but doesn't lift the song in any way - While fun throughout, the lack of change doesn't give the extra oomph that comes with a soaring chorus or middle 8. A lot of the time I prefer the peaks and valleys in a song rather than a flat line throughout. - Production seems at bit crunchy or crackly to me
I think once we have the album, based on what we've heard, this will be a "nice little song" in the midst of a much bigger picture. This tune is what it is and I love it for what it is, but I can't seeing being a favourite of mine or a staple in the listening catalogue over time.
Nice, catchy, fun and joyous, but not in any sense a classic or epic.

It does seem to drag a tad, but I've been listening to it on repeat all day - it's simply stuck in my head lol

I think it's dire. I gave it a 4/10 which I think is generous on reflection.
Was really excited as well after hearing the Fort Knox clip.

9/10.
I remember the first albums I bought were Gorillaz's Demon Days and Franz Ferdinand's debut album. Great great albums - two of my all time favourites - with some really fun and downright mental songs on them. This takes me back, but adds my favourite Oasis elements into it too, so it's an amalgamation of many favourites.
The song is absolute nuts, like Mucky Fingers or Do The Damage with ADHD after dropping acid. And to think this guy presided over the clusterfuck erectile dysfunction rock of Heathen Chemistry.
Many of Noel's songs at his best always had elements of eccentricity to them, showing there was a madness there that undercut all accusations of unoriginality and turgidness (which his songs became). A sense of fun, and we've regained that.

The only thing I would fix is the mastering. This should be just a little bit more dynamically diverse. You're being too kind. For me, the mastering completely ruins an otherwise really good song. It terms of dynamics It is the worst sounding song Noel has ever done, no exaggeration. I cannot believe how bad it is!

Straight 10/10!
Noel back on form again, which we've not heard since 1997, and his best single since AATW. Simple as!

Nothing could have prepared me for that flute, I just burst out laughing. But I guess that's about it with this track. Beyond the initial joy that you get from feeling really surprised, there's a pretty weak song hiding underneath. And I really don't like "swagger Noel" (whatever that means) either. I'm giving this 4/10 for now, but I guess it could slip down to a 3 by the next listen. If this is the best track off of the album, we're fucked.
