6.5/10. Not a great song, just good. So glad that Noel is out of his comfort zone,

Call me crazy, but I'm putting this one at 10. By far his best solo song for me. What were you smoking when you wrote this?! It's not like you at all...

I made the obvious mistake of reading comments about this song at work before listening to it... From what some of you guys are writing, I expected something utterly terrible and different...but I really really love this. It makes total sense for Noel to go into that direction sonically, the melody is there, it's catchy as hell. Fuck it, this song makes me smile. Miles above Heat of the Moment - 8 or 9 for me.

6/10
I REALLY like it after multiple listens. Can tell I'm going to really like the album based on this and the trailer previews, but I don't rate it higher than WAL, WTSRTS, Riverman, TRS, and some others.
It's understandable that people who didn't like a lot of CY don't like this.

I can even hear Liam singing this thing. But I can't get into this one, just can't. I listened it over 10 times and still don't change my mind. To me its a 4/10 right now. I may change my mind, but I just don't like it. Don't hate it neither.

The second listen was a lot better than the first, but I'd still rate it around a 6 or a 7.
It's definitely something a little different for Noel, and it's a good kickoff to the Who Built the Moon? era. It's pretty upbeat and accomplishes what Noel and David set out to do, but it just doesn't feel as good as In the Heat of the Moment or The Death of You & Me. However, it's not a bad song at all, but the lyrics just feel somewhat shallow and there's a shit-ton of distortion going on that makes things muddied up. The flute is an interesting addition, as well, since that feels a little retro in and of itself. I kind of wish there was some more electronic touches going on in the song since that's what I was kind of expecting.
With that said, it's still a pretty playful song and doesn't plod, which has been a problem for a lot of Sardy-era Oasis and solo Noel songs. I have a feeling that Beautiful World and Fort Knox will be better than this song, though, and if this is one of the weakest tracks on the album, things will be alright.

If i could get "She Bangs" out of my head, then my opinion might change. What's up with those comparisons? Listened to the two songs people have been linking and apart from maybe some second-long pieces of melodies those songs are really different...

Come on If it wasn't a noel song the 90% of us would hate it Would you like Dont Look Back In Anger sung by Miley Cyrus ? Probably not. SOOO, Back on topic, i give it a 7/10. pretty good production, basic tune but that's ok for that kind of song. Knowing Noel and his past choices as singles, it's probably the weakest tune on the record.

7.5/10 maybe even an 8/10.
It's fun, catchy, a little wordy perhaps, but overall it's a good tune and instrumentally it's solid. Is it as strong as other lead singles? Hmm, I'm not sure, however I think it's gonna sound good in the context of the album. Infact I think the listening to the album as a whole is gonna be more essential this time round than any other release.

For me it's a boring song that goes nowhere..it takes pieces of differents songs and then put them together but obv i hope wbtm will be a great album

Its pretty good. The chorus is a little goofy but the mood is great. Its far better a song than the NANANANA nonsense of In The Heat Of The Moment was in respect to a single.

I like it more than In The Heat Of The Moment, but less than Death of You And Me. Interestingly, I would not have picked either of them for lead single off of their records and I'd not be surprised if I feel the same way about "Moon".

6/10. I was very excited when I listened to the 90-second preview yesterday, but to be fair I was also inebriated. Now that I listen to it sober it's become a bit meh. Noel Gallagher's music and alcohol go well together, I guess It's pretty fucking ridiculous, because I can't shake off the feeling that it sounds like NGHFB meets BDI

Solid 5.5 maybe 6/10. Catchy as fuck little number that suffers from a muffled recording. I believe it's going to sound even better in the context of the album which I'm positive will have better songs, Noel can't choose singles for shit.

What were you smoking when you wrote this?! It's not like you at all... Love to hear your thoughts on this one. I don't really have any yet, good or bad. Every time I've listened to it (which must be getting on for ten times now) it's just seemed to go in one ear and out the other. All I do know is that I'm not keen on the lack of clarity in the mix. You've got the flute sample and the brass, the main melodic hooks propelling the song onwards, and obviously Noel's voice and the drums and bass, but apart from that, I couldn't tell you what's going on in the background. I know something is, but the track is so unremittingly loud that all the subtler details just go missing. I was hoping for something more dynamic-sounding, with David Holmes at the helm, but hey ho, maybe It's a Beautiful World'll sound better...
