Very nice of him, its a very rare move by Noel to change the set for the audience. That made me realize how he could be playing 22 songs instead of 21 every gig.

Nice gesture, but I've always hated his version of supersonic. The crowd going off when Liam does it is what makes it, can't get that acoustically.

It's nice to play acoustically if you can't quite manage the original version - a lot easier for a beginner. Like 'Go Let It Out', I do like Noel's version as it's different and he doesn't try and imitate Liam's version - which is certainly a stronger delivery and does make a real impact live (it was great in Amsterdam, probably my third favourite after SMS and Slide Away).

I really like Noel's performance of Supersonic. I'll take the rocking Liam version anytime, but I think Noel's version really accentuates the amazing melody.

What an ironic thing to have happen during the show, especially during this song.

Looks like it's been a fantastic US tour overall.
The majority of the gigs sold out - or at least filled, one way or the other - and the band/Noel seem in great form.
Definitely the most 'joyous' Noel has been on tour, especially in the US, in quite some time, it seems.
Mexico is a festival set is it not? So unless he's headlining, it will probably be a shorter set, so that may give us an indication of what he'll play at the festivals he isn't headlining come the summer.
Looking forward to him hopefully mixing it up a bit more for Europe and the UK. Hopefully see Black & White Sunshine come back, and bloody hell, find a way of getting TMWBTM in.

Why would the actual Lars Ulrich (looks like that's his verified Twitter account)have video from inside the crowd? Shouldn't he be backstage? Too bald for backstage

He's slated for a 70-minute set (21:05-22:15) That'll be like... 12-13 songs at most?

Not even remotely close to sold out. Factually about 60% paid. He does seem to be enjoying himself more from all reports though. Hopefully those who attended enjoyed themselves as well! Interested to see what gets added/dropped along the way.

He's sandwiched between a local rock-pop band (more pop than rock) and an indie rock band from Spain. In the main stage, Morrissey will be playing til 21:10, so I expect many people will move afterwards to see Noel but probably when he's about halfway through his set. And I'm not gonna be there

Interested to see what gets added/dropped along the way. Well pretty much every show had a 'sold out' sign before it. I'm guessing that means that it doesn't count any of the 'VIP' packages (which I do think are OTT), and there's been a few stories of promoters giving tickets away on the day? But overall, the majority of theatres (and these are big venues - or at least, bigger venues than he's played in the US since going solo) have been on the full side, from what people have said...

You've made these proclamations more than once like the US tour has been the greatest ever. Its looked fine to me the problems perhaps being that some of the arena's were to big and the VIP packages put people off.

Its looked fine to me the problems perhaps being that some of the arena's were to big and the VIP packages put people off. Where have I said it has been 'his greatest ever'? From what I have seen - Noel's tour has gone well, and noticeably has more publicity than any of his previous U.S. solo tours. Maybe that's due to his media team finally waking up to how you should market things, which they have been abysmal at in the past. Like you say, I was concerned that the large theatres would result in empty shows, but by all accounts the shows have been close to full every time - one way or the other. No half-empty theatres, and Radio City Music Hall - a 6,000 capacity venue - was sold out. There were also two sold out nights in Los Angeles and all the gigs seem to have gone down well. I don't like the idea of a VIP package, and it seems unfairly priced. That's a bad decision imo, but ultimately it hasn't backfired so much, but yes if they were closing off sections that casual fans would have potentially bought tickets for, it's a bad call.

Nah mate, not really. Only one Los Angeles night and an another date were sold out. Giving tickets away to fill the venue doesn’t really mean it’s sold out. New Orleans was half empty. You can see it from videos that most of his dates were not sold out. But he does looks like he’s having fun which is the most important thing.

But there were definitely more than two venues sold out. The pictures have clearly been online - I'll try find a few - of the venues confirming as such. Radio City Toronto The Orpheum (L.A) Philadelphia Most of the rest were 90% full. I'm going off posts earlier in this thread for that estimation, btw. And even so, the bigger venues means this will still be his largest capacity U.S. tour as a solo artist, and like you say he seems to be having fun and the crowd reacting well to it. Same with this ridiculous theory that he's not selling as many tickets in the UK that he has done previously. He's sold exactly the same amount as he has done on his previous tours, with only - I believe - Birmingham, Nottingham, Aberdeen and Newcastle still with any remaining tickets (and if you check, they're the ones up in the gods that nobody will probably want) - and there's still six weeks to go. I fully accept that there hasn't been as much hype for this tour, and Liam's comeback has had an impact in that, but he's still doing very well. It seems people literally heard Holy Mountain once and decided that Liam was suddenly the genius all along.

And he was playing bigger venues (which as I've said, I've had my reservations about) - so overall, I'm guessing more people will have seen him in the States this time around than on his tour last time?

Completely unrelated to "unsold VIP" packages. Yes those were some of the comped tickets but not a high percentage. Full does not equal sold out in this case.
