Is everyone ready to meet up next weekend at the Oakland gig? You have no friends here. I'm fully aware that I didn't join this place until many years after all the stuff with lomax happened, and so I admit that I don't know too many of the details of what happened back then (something about a bootleg that he may or may not own that he was bragging about for a while without sharing, featured STC before release, and still has as a profile pic. Sorry if I'm missing anything but that's all that I can tell happened). Whatever happened, it was almost a decade ago, and so if his presence still irritates you, I don't know why you haven't just blocked him and moved on. Again, apologies if I'm missing something significant in what happened, but I can't imagine that harbouring this resentment for lomax for so long is particularly beneficial to you. |

He doesn't deserve sympathy or for people to somehow sorta/kinda/defend him years later. Heed this warning. Consider him a toxic stock.  |

One of the main reasons I was asking though, was just because it seems like it may not be worth it from the bigger picture. Newer members are just going to see you throwing random criticisms at him without knowing the reasons behind them, which damages you more than him. And as far as I can tell, he's not reading what you post (at least he's not replying), so it doesn't seem to have an impact on him. Anyway, being an outsider to all this, don't feel it's like my place to judge or anything, just felt like giving my 2p  |

By the way, the incident with Joakim was a somewhat underhanded situation. I had offered to put together a funds collection for Rob at the Britpop Store. He wanted $1,000 for a tape that included Let's All Make Believe Noel and an unreleased song called For One So Young. As I was about to make the purchase in behalf of the forum, Joakim and his elite friends swooped in and offered Rob some of the handwritten lyrics from Noel's book in exchange for the tape. Thus, I got burned with the sale and now nobody on the forum will ever get to hear For One So Young. To his credit, Joakim did share Let's All Make Believe Noel though.
