The packaging of the deluxe CD looks very nicely done, all pre orders available on noels site. Has anyone found a photo of the back cover yet? I'm really interested to see it for some reason. Sorry mate havnt seen it, pity there not doing a box set like Liam's album with the vinyl and CD, can't decide weather to go for the normal vinyl of picture disc ? Decisions. |

If you're planning to listen to it, go for the normal vinyl. Picture discs have a shitload of surface noise and that's why I wound up getting the regular edition.

Cheers mate, good to know, I'm not massive on pic discs really so will go for the normal LP as I will be playing it, suppose the other one is more of a collectible. |

I've gone for the £35 bundle on Noels website and the £23 HMV exclusive bundle. 2 copies of the album on vinyl is more than enough  |

Just for info the white vinyl version of the album isn't HMV exclusive, it looks to be the Indies only version (not sure why HMV have been included) so should be able to get it shipped abroad from one of the UK record stores. The only HMV exclusive is the currently unknown 12" single on orange vinyl (can be bought with white vinyl or deluxe CD but not currently on its own.) |

Can't judge from 40 second clips. Wait and see - or hear - what the full versions sound like. 'Fort Knox' (I'm guessing that's the first song?) already sounds like a great opener and the choruses on the other two seem like they'll get very catchy very quickly. So many musical experts in here, it's a wonder why they've never released an album themselves  True, you can't judge the whole tracks from 40 second clips, but you can judge the clips themselves. Also, it's possible to have an opinion on music without being able to play a single chord of it. Exactly. We're the ones who are going to be buying it (or not buying) so our opinion counts more than most! |

Went for deluxe plus picture disc - £35.
The snippets sound very different. Big departure for Noel, and probably needed too. I have a feeling this album is going to blow people away.
What I've heard so far, I'm loving it!!

And the producer didn't want Noel to do anything that sounded like Oasis.
Massive respect to David Holmes. If you can get Noel to get out of his comfort zone without telling you to fuck off and then telling the fans he's destroyed the masters, you're brilliant at your job.
I imagine it was more to do with the fact CY didn't sell as well as the first album. Still, will be good to hear something a bit different from Noel - even if I'm not wholly convinced by those excerpts. |
