Remember, It's a beautiful World is an over 5 minute long song. We're getting maybe 20 seconds here.

Did anyone record the Moyles show? I'd like to hear the song snippets. I didn't listen to it, but I'm pretty sure they are the same as in the trailer on Noel's youtube channel?

Listened to the trailer 3 times. Fort Knox sounds rather cool. It's Beautiful World seems total shit, what the fuck is that chorus ? She Taught Me How To Fly melody sounds a bit like The Good Rebel from what I recall cos' I've already forgot how it goes. Not hyped at all, the melodies of this trailer very weak. But who knows, maybe there will be a good surprise behind the door ! seems like Noel worked more on sound and ambiance this time, rather than melody It makes sense in a time when only repetitive songs are catching the ear of the people nowadays. For Knox sounds interesting but there's a few sound effects on this clip that are really annoying and 80s experimental pastiche. Let's wait for at least a full track.

Interesting. Not really sure what to think of the clips. The first sounded alright but those other two...
I really wonder how he is gonna do this live.

I'm liking Its a Beautiful World more than others in this thread. Not going to parse it by influences just yet until I hear more of the song.

So what did Noel talk about in the other interviews? The Absolut Radio interview was mostly about Bono and that boxer.

Makes sense why no new tracks were played in the set supporting U2.
Need to hear more before forming my opinion - big fan of Tame Impala so if it heads in that direction I'll be happy.

I'm not worried at all. Also, I can't judge a song from a 30 second long clip, but it sounds good to my ears. it sounds like music you listen to on your headphones and really get lost into it I kinda disagree on that. Feels more like something to look at/enjoy on a more 'rock music' basis than to get lost in. Especially with respect to the extract from the first track. There's i) a backgrounded not-that-interesting bassline, ii) Noel singing "You gotta get yourself together" repeatedly in an uninspired almost 'we-got-the-pow-er-to-do-that' kind of way, iii) a bell ringing which only seems to have the purpose of getting the listener's attention/fill out the mix, and iv) a drum beat that sounds great but seems to be the only thing holding the song together (and even then, it's not a particularly unique or distinct beat imo). Then, taken as a whole, it still doesn't feel like I could get lost in it because all those elements are crushed into an almost Be Here Now style wall of sound. That makes it appealing as pop/rock, but completely negates any chance of me getting lost in it, particularly considering there isn't too much there to get lost in.

Can't judge from 40 second clips. Wait and see - or hear - what the full versions sound like. 'Fort Knox' (I'm guessing that's the first song?) already sounds like a great opener and the choruses on the other two seem like they'll get very catchy very quickly. So many musical experts in here, it's a wonder why they've never released an album themselves

Yeah, I finally went back and found it. But they said there's more coming after 9.30.

Hope the album turns out well

Also, it's possible to have an opinion on music without being able to play a single chord of it.

I can play guitar but to no high level - I'm not saying I'm an expert. But it just seems people will analyse these clips to death and make judgements. As I said, may be better just to wait and see.

Well yeah it's hard to judge from a small clip but it's not like the sound of the Beautiful world chorus snippet will change. Only for that, it is worrying.

Sounds.... interesting. I'm gonna hold off judgement until we get to hear at least one song, but the snippets don't really get my hopes up. Haven't been a huge fan of Noels previous albums, so I'm really hoping he does something new and different with this one! Getting two Gallagher albums in the span of two months can only be a great thing no matter how you look at it.
