I'm really excited to hear this, simmo. Thanks for putting it together! Will there be a way for those of us who prefer to not use Facebook to listen to the whole interview?

Thank you very much for sharing this podcast, simmo!
Saw Noel supporting U2 last night. Tell Gem that it was great to see him playing again.

At this point I'm more interested in hearing from Russ and Gem than Noel.
Things for Gem:
- Gem has a very different playing style and tone to both Bonehead and Noel. Did he have to persuade Noel to let him do it "his way" to any extent, or was he allowed to play as he pleased from the beginning?
- When he came into Oasis, how long did he think it was going to last? I think a lot of people expected the band to tour SOTSOG then break up.
- I think fans always assumed he was helping Liam out with his songs, so what was it about Love Like A Bomb specifically that resulted in a co-writer credit?
- Who wrote the BE bonus tracks - Off at the Next Exit and Back After the Break? I don't think it's ever been definitively answered.
- Which Beady Eye album does he think is better?
Generally just make sure to thank him for what he brought to my (and presumably most of our) favourite band of all time. That applies in terms of the sound and also in that he seemed pretty influential in keeping the band from falling apart for so long. I hope he has some understanding of the level of love and respect he's got from the fans.

Thanks simmo! This is a really interesting interview. The bits about the new album is super exciting, especially about there being more bass, there being less "songy songs," and there being more happening in the music. The moment when Russ was describing him and Mike Rowe having to tell that Noel that he's playing Angel Child wrong.

this podcast you do is excellent. i like the approach you take, asking questions that other musicians would ask. it was great that you told russ how much his singing brings to the group. i personally love his singing with noel. i look forward to your conversation with gem. good work!

Less "songy songs" = More Right Stuff's, Less You Know We Can't Go Back's = For me, not so great. But I know some on here love where the Right Stuff was taking Noel and I think this will be their album.

Then again, Russ does say that it "won't freak anyone out" who's a Noel fan and "it's not too weird / jazz"
