Please provide some "evidence" to support your statement.
Then we can debate the merits of your rationale.
Good day, sir.

I wrote the treatise on why Heathen Chemistry isn't crap, but that still doesn't mean that HC isn't the low point of Oasis albums. Hmm....
MG > BHN > DM > SOTSOG > DBTT >> DOYS/HC

Thanks to your insightful and detailed post I can clearly see exactly why you don't like Don't Believe The Truth, good job!

It's Funny how at the time it was this big return to form with so much hype. And now even Liam's realised 90's Oasis was the best.

There's a mistake in the thread title mate. You misspelled Heathen Chemistry.

For me this album was an improvement from the last two albums.

It's your opinion, not fact. Don't Believe The Truth was the first album they released after I got into them, so this album means special to me. Hearing "Lyla" on Polish radio for the very first time and waiting for the album to be released. Standing in a queue to get the ticket for my first Oasis gig. Great memory and great time to be an Oasis fan.

Theres arguments for every post 2000 album being the shittest.
DBTT though does have the most consistent Sound throughout though.
GIANTS 5 Great Tunes HC 4 Great Tunes DBTT 6 Great Tunes DOYS 6 Great Tunes
Yeah... HC is the Shit pit.

It doesn't have as many outstanding songs as the other albums but it's fairly consistent and doesn't fall anywhere close to the shit HC and DOYS plummet to!
HC has my 4 least favourite Oasis album songs ever! That is by far the worst for me,
Also DBTT had a cracking tour, the album produced 2 UK number 1 singles and the album was well received in the press
It was probably the best time since Be Here Now to be an Oasis fan

It has the lowest highs of any Oasis album, but doesn't have the absolute low like SOTSOG, HC and DOYS, although I detest Mucky Fingers....

Any album with Turn Up the Sun, The Importance of Being Idle, Part of the Queue Let There Be Love is not gonna be bad. Far from the worst album they ever did.
Oh, and A Bell Will Ring has to be one of their most underrated tunes.

There is no weak albums but DBTT is not the weakest album, no chance.

Agreed with some: its lows aren't the lowest possible but neither are its highs as high as they could've been. It's a solid album within itself, although that's not saying much – it's what I'd usually expect of an album, really. The basics.
I don't think it has a great sound btw. DOYS and SOTSOG are far superior sonically. It is still better than HC, of course.
I think it's their weakest album apart from Heathen Chemistry.

Don't Believe The Truth is the record that showed us Oasis still had it. Of course there are low points that are probably different depending on who you're talking to (I could never stand "Keep The Dream Alive" and find "A Bell Will Ring" absolutely boring).
But Oasis became what they were because Noel had the first 4 records (I'm including The Masterplan) written. Then he lost his way. The other three by themselves were not as good songwriters as he was so they couldn't save the boat from sinking.
Noel started writing differently with this record and Liam became a better songwriter penning some of the good songs the DBTT. Noel finally realized that he didn't have enough experience to produce himself as he could only make it sound like Heathen Chemistry at the time and gave the reins to someone else (let's not debate Dave Sardy for now). All the members started playing different instruments also. When all that came together, it made Oasis great again because they were finally acting as the different band they were. They weren't the Oasis of the 90's anymore.
To me DBTT is Oasis' new beginning. Oasis could have gone on to do amazing records had the Gallagher brothers been able to stand each other.
It was also Noel's new beginning as he started writing different kind of songs and no longer felt limited by the Oasis sound. He's still writing with that freedom today.
It's certainly not their best record in hindsight. But there are awesome tracks on there. At the time, it reignited a flame that was blown out by SOTSOG and HC and gave fans a breath of fresh Oasis air.
