What would you hope LG and his management have learned from the Beady Eye era and how Noel's Solo work has been so much more successful in comparison?
For me personally I hope the artwork of the Album puts Liam front and centre like Noel's. With the new album rumoured to be entitled 'Liam' I'd certainly expect that to be the case. The artwork for 'Different Gear, Still Speeding' was a total eyesore. Artwork gives an audience their first impression of a product and DGSS comes across like a 60's pastiche novelty album.

As Noel says, artwork really isn't that relevant any more in the age of digital sales. Personally I'd be more drawn to bonkers artwork like DGSS than a miserable picture of a bloke.

Release a single, get the album out 2-3 weeks later so he can ride the hype of the new song rather than waiting months and letting all the excitement around him dwindle out.

Artwork mean nothing nowadays, it certainly doesn't explain why BDI failed. They tried to attract sales with a naked lady on BE and look how that worked.
Lessons learned from Noel or any other act : you need one or two very popular singles, and the rest will come. Simple as that. Maybe try and get one in a movie or an ad (see : What a life).
Then for live shows build the set around your strongest new tunes and the rest with Oasis or Beady Eye tunes.

Artwork wouldn't be at the top of my list.
I'd focus on:
Back handers to Radio X, BBC6, Absolute etc to have your tune played 24/7.
2-3 solid singles that are radio friendly.
50% of the live set to be oasis tunes.
Interviews and performance on key tv shows e.g. Graham Norton.
Punch a photographer.
Done.

No staggered releases which has killed a few chart positions for Noel. When the 1st single comes out, have it availble to buy, stream, on youtube with real video all on a friday and have tv appearances that weekend! Make an impact.
Have Liam clearly on the artwork.
Go abit more mental on twitter.
Release the best songs as singles!! Shine a Light coming out straight after the Nicole saga killed Beady Eye.

Radio X will surely give it a lot of airplay, they are up his arse posting something about him every other day.

Oh it's definitely good, I'm just saying that it's got to get a lot of air time on there, if it doesn't it'll be ridiculous as they are always on about him.

Never played BE much even though Liam has always been talked about a lot. Even when dj's commented on FOTF being surprisingly decent. Seems the powers above them make the decision on who gets played. Hence my call for back handers

What I've learned... OASIS was, is, and will always be better.This. I really loved Beady Eye and I like NGHFB (even though I think Noel needs to rock more), but together they were the bollocks. When they split, they lost the magic.

I like the album name "Liam"
Definitely picking the "right" singles is the most important imo. I can go as far back as "don't believe the truth"...Where I think horrible singles were chosen. Both Beady Eye album singles were horrible and I also feel Noel chose bad Singles especially on the last record.
So for me it's all about picking the most "radio friendly" tunes off the record.
As for the 1st single it definitely should be followed by a quick album release.
I wonder if Liam's camp will pull any gimmicks and release the whole album outta nowhere....I wouldn't be surprised. That may even be the best option for Liam so people don't dissect one song so much and instead have a whole album to selectively pick and choose the ones that stand out for each individual.... It kind of diflects attention off of one release.

I'd hate 'Liam' to be the title of his next album. It sounds like something a committee would come up with for some soulless pop artist. It so offensively safe it makes me want to gag! Not only is it bereft of a single grain of creativity it is also sounds like a money making decision. Something for the public to cling onto. Just a horrible, horrible name.
I also have similar thoughts to the artist being on the album cover as it's the same shit and is rarely done well. That said it's fully expected and I don't have nearly as big a deal with it. Some creativity would be nice please!

Two of the worst names in rock music history I actually like "Different Gear Still Speeding." I don't think it's a bad title at all tbh.
