No sense in calling it some stupid name or the name of a track off the album which I've never understood. He's putting himself out there....No need in people getting more confused as to if it's another BDI album or whatever.
They will go with "Liam" or "Liam Gallagher" and I'm perfectly fine with that.
No point on calling it "Liam Gallagher- As you were"

Unless we count "write good songs", the best thing I can hope for is that Liam uses his own name (basically guaranteed at this point, right?) and picks a good lead single. I could imagine Beady Eye being quite a big more successfull had they been called "Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye" and used Four Letter Word as the first release. Honestly though, apart from that, NGHFB was always going to be more successfull than BDI because Noel's songs are better. If Beady Eye said that they would play Oasis songs, they would have been much more succesfull. 90% of the people want to hear Oasis songs in the crowd. A lot of people say that, but I'm not so sure. Playing Oasis songs doesn't change the quality of their own songs, and if people come to their gigs for the Oasis songs, it's not the best promotion - especially since the BDI tunes would obviously be the weaker songs in a mixed list. Basically, I feel like playing Oasis songs would have helped them fill venues, but if Liam wants to be successfull as an artist and sell albums, he absolutely needs to play all his solo tunes with Oasis songs as a bonus, not the other way around.

I disagree completely. Has to be at least half Oasis half Solo/Beady Eye/Cover

Why? Does Liam need the money? Is he not sure if people will still pay to see him sing Oasis songs?
If he wants to have a solo career, he has to be taken seriously as a solo artist. Playing mostly Oasis songs won't help there.

50% oasis songs live for definite. This can be decreased album by album to about 25%.
Let's hope there is 'album by album' in the future.

He's gonna do exactly what Johnny Marr does...
The End.
If he just plays his new stuff only his tour will be over faster than the bassist from the Wonderwall video stayed with the band

Well anyone who thinks that him playing a bunch of Oasis songs is a bad idea knows nothing about making money.
That's like David Gilmour doing a concert and not playing any Pink Floyd songs. It's Ludacris.
At least 90% of the people who buy a Liam ticket are gonna want to hear Oasis songs and I can guarantee you 1000000000% the organizers of these festivals have it in his contract that he is playing X-amount of Oasis songs or believe me he wouldn't have gotten 1/4th of those gigs.
Trust me.
Now if his Solo Album is a success and does well then he can gradually decrease the Oasis tunes in his setlist but until then it's gonna be a chunk of Oasis+his new stuff/1-2 beady eye and maybe a cover.

If I was Liam I'd do 3 or 4 Oasis songs but the songs that he's written.
Songbird Meaning Of Soul Born On A Different Cloud Better Man
I think these Liam penned tunes would go down really well live mixed in with his new stuff

Of course he's going to play Oasis songs. He will only have ten or so solo songs at first anyway.
What he shouldn't do though is play ten Oasis songs, five BDI songs, a cover and four solo songs. Beady Eye stuff doesn't really have any business there anyway - if he plays old stuff from an old band, make it Oasis. Or does anybody prefer The Roller to Rock n Roll Star?

Using his own name is already making him stand out on the festival posters, so that is a good start. Playing festivals out of the UK is getting people talking here (similar to what Ashcroft did.) Think he is off to a good start so far. www.theindiemasterplan.com

This is like the equivalent of playing solo songs. It needs to be oasis belters which I'm sure it'll be.

Please acknowledge that there are already festivals posters around with the name LIAM GALLAGHER on the bill, so the chances this will be the name of his solo project are pretty solid.
I think he didn't want to use Liam Gallagher's something formula for obvious reasons. All he was left with was Paul Mccartney and The Wings, but he is no Paul Mccartney, he is John Lennon so we will have Liam Gallagher i bet.

I can't stand What a Life, but it is a good single. Just like Roll with It, The Roller.... When did The Roller make an impact on the charts? I don't know about the charts but the fact you can buy it to sing on Singstar on the Playstation I think shows what impact (albeit little) it did make..correct me if I am wrong, as I have looked for about a year, but there isn't any High Flying Birds songs on there is there?
