Funny Noel contradiction I've noticed. He goes on about how it's all about the music and the songs when there's any talk of fighting, tabloids, stuff with their Dad etc
Then when Alan White joins the band and dares to speak to him regarding the instrument he's been hired to play to take the band forward, he says he doesn't care and as long as you look the part you'll do 😁

There was some great footage in it, especially the early stuff and MG recording sessions but I'm slightly underwhelmed. Don't know why but when I heard the guys behind Senna were doing it I was proper excited maybe I expected too much
There isn't a lot which hasn't been covered before and it did tread similar ground as the DM DVD in places
It's very well put together however and Liam is priceless. Id actually prefer the 96-2000 footage, the fall is always more interesting

Thanks. Enjoyed that. A classic bit of Liam ramble-chat, right there.

I love how Liam seems to be embracing 90's era Oasis. If they do ever get back it's looking less likely to have Gem and Andy.

When Noel said "the tambourine hit me and went tish tish.. out of time I might add!" I pissed myself

Hope I'm not annoying to ask the same question again. So my copy (Dutch version with Dutch/French subtitles) has 27 minutes long interview with Mat Whitecross and trailer as extra and my friend in England gets me a HMV edition. 2 editions you can buy in UK are:
- HMV exclusive has the same length interview with Mat (with or without deleted scenes in audio?) - UK regular edition has the deleted scenes in audio
Is it correct? If HMV edition doesn't include the deleted scenes in audio, I'll buy a UK regular version for the deleted scenes as well.

One of my favourite bits from the film: Them reacting to what the others have said in their interviews, as if they were having an actual conversation, that Mat Whitecross has talked about, works brilliantly here. Noel's on great form. That line about him having an alibi got a lot of laughs on the 2nd October showing I went to.
In general, I just love everything from that first part of the film, where they're talking their lives before Oasis. I think Mat dealt with all that in a really respectful, even-handed way. It's not all "oh, look at how difficult our upbringing was!" but likewise it's not overly nostalgic so that you could accuse it of looking at thing with rose-tinted glasses on. There's an interesting little aside in all that, as well: Noel mocks Liam for effectively saying someone "hammered the music into him," and yet he later says something similar - "I guess my dad beat the talent into me." It's like the chicken and the egg thing, innit; what came first, the "hammered the music into me" or the "beat the talent into me"?
