I liked the film. I did. I really liked that bit at the end, too, BUT.... I thought the film could have used more assessment on the things that happened rather than just what happened, you know what I mean? I thought the whole film was just a string of short stories told chronologically by the guys without much footage of them, and not enough judgements on what happened.
Oh and more footage like the one where they are at the pool, and Noel is annoying Liam, or the one backstage at where they are arm wrestling... you know? More footage and less cartoons, I guess.

Yet they dedicated whole sections to them about guigsy leaving then coming back. Also Alan joining the band... These images weren't blurred or cut out so it's weird that the live footage was. I think it's the performances they can't show of the people who didn't want to be involved - footage of them backstage etc. is OK. Hence Guigsy and Alan White are missing from the Top of the Pops footage. Nailed it. Filming someone backstage is like walking out of your front door and filming people passing on the street, you can do whatever you want with the footage. They're being paid to perform on stage, though, which gives them individual rights over what is done with the footage. I would think Alan and Guigs' decisions over Supersonic scupper any release of Knebworth as a concert film.

Just got the blu-ray in the mail today. A quick review (saw it earlier in the theatre)
+'s
- great film, a lot of funny quotes. I really think that especially Liam comes across very well. - it makes me nostalgic, the 90's WERE great - the footage from Knebworth (a shame we won't see the complete concert in full any time soon, I'm also afraid it has to do with this Guigsy and Whitey nonsense)
-'s
- it became a bit dull (halfway though), - I wish they'd focused more on the comradeship of the band. I mean, they were mates, a clan, but what happened with that bond? It's clear that Guigsy doesn't want to get involved any more in any Oasis related, but he was part of that group. More background (Manchester period) would have been nice too. - I missed quite a lot songs. - I was quite dissapointed finding out that on my blu-ray version the only extra's are: The trailer and an interview with mat Whitecross. Also if they say that they could have made an 7 hour long movie, the amateur footage could have been more used. There are quite a bit backstage or ' behind the scenes' stuff but very often without original sound. I really would have liked to see (a lot more) of that because it shows more the real people behind the rockstar behaviour we've all seen a thousand times before.
anyway, very good film and especially good times to be an Oasis fan

They should have put one song each of the live footage from the movie onto the BR extras. Would have made a great extra disc plus a few deleted scenes and video interviews for the film. Boardwalk rehearsal (AATW, Columbia or whatever they have) King Tuts 93 Water Rats 94 Tivoli 94 Japan 94 Liverpool 94 (even the Cigs&Alc video from RS would have done although they have more) Whisky A Go Go 94 Earls Court rehearsal Earls Court 2nd Night Dublin 96 Maine Road 1st Night The intro at Knebworth Knebworth 1st Night

If anything that´s what Oasis was. I need the full quote, you useless twat. There you go you lazy c.u.n.t.: You couldn´t say that anybody that was ever in Oasis, me included, was the best in the world or anything. But when it all came together we made people feel something that was undefinable. We were still the same band that was playing in the Boardwalk - we virtually wearing the same clothes. All that´s happend is it caught fire and all these people got on board (involved?). But people will never ever ever forget the way that we made them feel. There´s a chemistry between the band and the audience as something magnetic drawing the two to eachother - the love and the vibe and the passion and the rage and the joy that coming from the crowd. If anything that´s what Oasis was.

Amazing movie. Didn't want it to end. I could have carried on watching another 2 hours of that.
Would loved to have seen it covered the BHN era too, as this was also at the absolute peak of Oasis fame, because that would have been a nice way to end it. Quickest selling album of all time, the mammoth release of DYKWIM, then ending it with the death of Princess Di, and the end of an era.

BHN was filled with bad vibes towards the ends and insane backlash. It would dampen the film. It's a celebration

I don't know if I'm violating some forum rule but can anyone with a good heart upload the movie (with english subtitles, please) and paste me the link here?
I'm from a shithole third country (Brazil) and the fucking blu-ray will be available in here just around 2035.
Fuck, I hate this country.
cheers

Question to UK/Ireland members, Does the UK regular version of this DVD features the deleted scenes (in visual) as a bonus feature? or is it only for HMV exclusive? I bought a DVD in my local record shop 2 days ago and it's EU (Benelux) version with Dutch and French subtitles and the extras are interview with Mat Whitecross and trailer. My friend in England gets me the HMV exclusive, but he'll send me it as Christmas gift. As I don't want to wait for so long, I'm thinking to buy one more copy, UK version, but if the UK regular version doesn't have the deleted scenes, I better wait until my friend in England sends me HMV exclusive. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, deleted scenes on the regular UK/Ireland edition are audio only. Even the ones that are extended versions of scenes already in the film. (E.G. Rockfield fight).

What's the point of having extra audio scenes only in UK/Ireland?

What's the point of having extra audio scenes only in UK/Ireland? It was a HMV exclusive I believe, so in answer to your question, to get people to go into hmv and buy it. Rather than buying from amazon (usually cheaper) or illegally downloading it and not getting the extras. Its effective. This is the first time I've bought a brand new dvd / Blu-ray on release day from hmv in many years.

It was a HMV exclusive I believe. No it wasn't. So what actually is the HMV exclusive? The interview with Mat and the trailer is on all DVDs what I read, the audio of the deleted scenes is on all UK DVDs.
